Does it all, most importantly it tests AC and DC volts and amps. Most only test amps in AC mode.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using one at our training center, I purchased my own to keep in my truck for those friends and family phone calls in the middle of the night. It is well thought out and durable. Toss an 11-in-1, tick trace, and trippers in the bag and you are good to go for most issues.

I've been using this meter for 2 years now and it still works and looks like new. The only things that could be better is the temperature sensor reads about 4 degrees Fahrenheit too low, the non-contact voltage meter could be more sensitive, and the clamp is too thick to test most wires in breaker panels.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Auto Off can be diabled by holding SEL then turn the function dial. And you can measure 100mA range by looping a cable and measure the loop to magnify the current signal. And yes. The display is dim under direct sunlight. But it looks great under shade. Remember it is a HVAC meter.

Had this for several months, and found it is not good for outdoor use, the readout can be unreadable at times. Also the shut off time is too short. My wish is this version had normal readout, and milliamp for AC/DC. Then it would be perfect and would pay whatever cost.

Do not buy this CL390 meter! Poor display readout in outdoor applications. Do like all functions though, but can only use indoors. Misleading. I do commercial HVAC and thought this meter would great, nope…..
