I like everything made in the USA, it looks thick and sturdy.
I was hesitant to buy Klein linemans again after receiving two that were way out of spec. Klein seems to have addressed this issue and these displayed the quality that Klein built their reputation on. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For many years I used it in chemical industry with no issue. The cutter is durable and the plier are strong. Very good plier and made in USA.
I bought a klein crimping pliers when I started my apprenticeship, had it for sure 13+ years. Been used every single day in residential electrical work, so been hammered on used as a hammer. Greenlee pliers are just as good, but if you want durability. Get a klein like I tell the new apprentices.
I have owned Klein Lineman pliers for about 30 years. It has just been in the last 2 years that my original pair were lost.(heartbreaking) These pliers can be used as a hammer, cutting bolts, wire, bailing wire, pulling nails, staples....and the list can go on and on and on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my first pair in 1986. Have for various reasons replaced them 6 times. None of the reasons were because they quit performing. It was more about my son using (losing) them and a couple of pair were misplaced. As a renovation contractor of 40+ years, they have only been third to my tape measure and hammer. And I have even, in a pinch, bought off brand similar pliers. But have only been content with my Klein's!
Before I was an electrician, I would have never considered these as a essential tool. Now I'd be crazy not to have them with me. Working in the field Klein Linemans is one of the most iconic and reliable tools I've encountered, having had the pleasure of using a pair that were older than I was. Tough and durable, I'll never never need another pair. That is until I blow a hole in them...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I started as an electrician 7 years ago, my dad got me these. I've never owned a different brand or type since, I always get a new pair of these when the teeth wear out. I've used other peoples lineman's over the years, but nothing felt right, just my pair of these. They cut, they twist, they crimp. Exactly what I want in my pliers.
Good pliers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've carried these with me everyday for the last 4 years, using them as a hammer, cutting things I shouldn't and occasionally working on live power. They definitely hold up to heavy abuse. Cutting edge has gotten dull from cutting screws/nails but that's to be expected.
