Klein Tools D248-8 Diagonal Cutting Pliers High Leverage

I bought these pliers as part of an upgrade for my master electrician's tool bag. The angled profile helps get into tight places and they have no problem cutting 14 and 12 gauge wiring. NOTE: these pliers are not to be used cutting hardened metal like screws, nails, etc. I would only cut copper wire to keep the cutters from damage.

I've only had two pairs of these and I only bought the second cause the first pair was stolen. The rubber handle makes it easy to control. Simple design makes it easy to to use and durable. I bought these back in 1997 when my [major brand that starts with a "C"] bit their last. These babies cut wiring every day until I left manufacturing in 2003. Finest pliers I ever paid for.

I have used these every time I needed to cut tie wire or cable ever since the employer gave me them.

Very dull for a wire cutter. It may be defective so I'll try a replacement. I don't know if it's by design, but the cutting edges don't seem to align. I have really old cutters that are sharper than this
