Klein Tools ET300 Digital Circuit Breaker Finder

I am surprised and pleased with the excellent build quality of this circuit tracer. It is simple to operate, accurate, and is a game changer for sorting out circuits in older homes, wish I had bought one long ago. You also trace ceiling light circuits by stewing in a plug adapter to the light bulb socket. Wal-Mart had the best price I found too.

Works well but on/off switch is very sensitive. Barely touching it will turn the device on accidentally. Poor design there, I had to get a case for it.

Plan to use this not only for finding a live circuit, but also for ease to label the fuse box in the basement. No more yelling "is the electric out"? Very helpful.

I BOUGHT ONE OF THESE ABOUT 1.5 YRS. AGO. I CAN DEFINITELY SAY THAT THIS PRODUCT HAS BEEN SUPER RELIABLE, EASY TO USE, AND WAS INITIALLY AFFORDABLE. I DID A LOT OF RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING, AND AND I FOUND THAT YOU WILL PAY MUCH MORE FOR SIMILAR ITEMS OF MUCH POORER QUALITY. GREAT PURCHASE

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked up this baby for an upcoming job to relabel some panels, this circuit finder was bang on every time I was searching for the right circuit in the panel, I think every crew should have one on hand. I also paired it with the accessorie kit that goes with it to expand my capabilities to search circuits for lighting circuits as well during demo with live wires hanging on of the walls.

Works great, just wish the on off switch was a little stiffer so less likely to self activate in my tool bag. It does shut off after 4 minutes automatically though.

I bought this when I was starting out and it served its purpose very well. The only nitpick I can think of is that it constantly beeps inside my bag because of the placement of the buttons. I'm sure by now they've improved or maybe a case was available for it that I didn't know about when I bought it 10 years ago.

While I'm pleased the ET3000 shuts off automatically after a few minutes, it's a shame it's so easy to turn on with the slightest bump. Also, the battery door is attached with a screw (which I immediately discarded). So, when it's in my tool box, I have to remove the battery. Packaging is second-rate as it uses highly annoying welded plastic. Yes, the unit works acceptably well for short money, but it's not a good example of Klein's quality.
