Klein Tools NCVT-3 Non-Contact Voltage Tester Flashlight

I am electrician and it's good for what I use it for. I have been using this brand for years.Plus it has a flashlight that makes it easy to see inside Electrical panels.

I would've submitted a 5star if the actual tester was the one depicted in the pic. I was looking for the older model not the newer model but it works just the same.

this model is lacking features of a previous model. The previous model had audible and visual indicators that let the user know as they were getting closer and closer to the coltage source.

I returned this item as the item I received was not the item pictured.

I am a DIY person who used my Klein NCVT-3P only a few times to install light switches. After a total of approximately 6 uses, the NCVT-3P does not power up anymore. The batch code is 0521U-A2 and I am beyond the 1-year warranty. The unit is in like-New condition. It double-beeps whenever I depress the light button and the light does not come on. All other functions do not work at all. I replaced with fresh batteries and no change. I do not recommend this NCVT to anyone. Reliability is poor for such an expensive beeper.

The two separate voltage ranges do not work properly, when selected to 70-100v it still reads 24v, I've even read 11v off a neutral wire. Had it exchanged for a new one and still does the same thing.

Wrong item was sent. Tester that was sent does not have bar graph voltage detector

You will be sent a NCVT-3P the updated version not a NCVT-3 what is listed. needs to be removed.
