12-1000V AC Dual Range Non-Contact Voltage Tester with Flashlight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wonder why it took so long for someone to put a flashlight on a chicken stick. It comes in handy when working but also eliminates the need to carry a light also. I think I use it more for the flashlight than for testing.

I've mostly used the Fluke non contacts because that's what I've always used, but the tail cap seems to get loose and fail pretty quickly if it's carried clipped to a shirt pocket. I've had this tester for about 6 months and I have no complaints. It's a non-contact voltage tester. It's not a life changing tool, but the obvious strength of this tail cap makes it seem like it will last longer than it's competitors.

I have dropped it in a puddles of water and it has been left out in the rain and it still works great.

I've had this tester for years!! It's been great does like it's supposed to and the flashlight comes in handy a lot!! Also pretty strong from drops! Just recently broke the clip looking for replacement parts!! I would say that's the only negative should sell replacement parts!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace one that no longer worked and it works great. Some of these can be questionable but it gets a good reading every time. I like the flashlight built in too. I just wish it were a little brighter. Waterproof and dust proof is a big plus.

I am a DIY person who used my Klein NCVT-3P only a few times to install light switches. After a total of approximately 6 uses, the NCVT-3P does not power up anymore. The batch code is 0521U-A2 and I am beyond the 1-year warranty. The unit is in like-New condition. It double-beeps whenever I depress the light button and the light does not come on. All other functions do not work at all. I replaced with fresh batteries and no change. I do not recommend this NCVT to anyone. Reliability is poor for such an expensive beeper.

The two separate voltage ranges do not work properly, when selected to 70-100v it still reads 24v, I've even read 11v off a neutral wire. Had it exchanged for a new one and still does the same thing.

Dropped this from like 5ft. Cracked the body. Also, the flashlight does not stay on. It blinks three times and goes off. Terrible.

Dropped it on floor when taking it out of my pocket and the battery cap cracked. Couldn't find a replacement cap. Wasted money.
