Worked to find out where 'ghost wires' went
Used this to track down where ghost wires from dead switches went to. Works through dry wall, but works best within about 3 inches of the wire(s) in question. Wish it worked more magically and because of poor memory I have to look at the instructions each time I use it.

Not working
Same problem as another reviewer. Power button lights the lights and then it shuts off. The short light is lighting when pushing (and holding) the power button even when it is not connected to the cable.
