I am extremely satisfied with the splitting ability of these tools. They remove locked up nuts just as described.

Simple, rugged design, these are heavy duty breakers. I'm looking forward to trying these out versus using 4 inch side grinder cut off wheels or a torch. This seems much cleaner if you have the clearance. I purchased mine on sale and these were a great buy!

I've always managed without having a nut splitter, but it seemed like the best way this time. For the price, this was a no-brainer, especially for two of them. I used this split a rounded-off shackle nut on a rear leaf spring that I was removing from my old Camaro SS. I clamped it onto the nut (that was in a tight space) and started slowly tightening it with a socket and ratchet. I felt it right when it split, and then I use a pair of channel-locks to remove the nut. I hope I don't need it again anytime soon, but I'll be glad that I have the tool if so.

I bought the nut splitters to split nuts that were frozen or stripped and they both did a good job busting nuts so I could remove parts.

I've only used the large one on 2 lug nuts on a hay wagon's running gear. So far, it bores through to the bolt threads ok, but it doesn't sit flat enough to cut the whole nut. So, I had to follow up with another splitter and some chisels. Also, the threads where I had to tighten down most at the end are acting rough (hard to had turn when no bolt engaged). So, I suspect a limited life. So far, I only have to split 2 bolts so this may be ok. I recommend for limited use or soft bolts in a very open area.

The units are very sturdy, and I saw a large number of reviews of other products that say they broke (like the Craftsman unit I borrowed from a friend before I broke the Klutch splitters!). Driver blade cut pretty well into the lug nut. Still s troublesome removal (tight fit down into the face of a trailer wheel).

I got this tool because I really need to get a nut off that would move with a wrench, the first time I used this tool it cut a little bit and then the blade bent over instead of cutting, I sent your company an email and I received a full refund
