I love this thing. Perfect size for my bivy or a cot, keeps me up off the ground and warm, rolls up super small, weighs nothing, and is wide enough that I don't fall off the side.
Had this same pad for years and loved it. After 4 or 5 hard seasons it finally developed a slow leak that I could not locate. Shopped around and settled back on the Luxe.
SO comfortable for a side sleeper and the structure of it keeps you from sliding off during the night. Its surprising how much it actually inflates! I really figured it would lose air overnight or stretch but it didn't. It stayed incredibly comfortable. I have always woken up with hip pain as a side sleeper but I had NONE. The only downside is the stuff sack requires you to fold it perfectly and get every bit of air out, I'm sure it'll be easier with practice though.
As a 6’4” man it is hard to find a sleeping pad that I actually fit on. This pad is long, thick, and comfortable. The only downside is the space it’ll take up in your pack but that is pretty much unavoidable. This pad is 100% worth the money and I have never slept so comfortably while camping. It is totally worth carrying the extra weight and sacrificing a little more space for the luxury that this pad provides.
The most comfortable and warm pad I've ever used. And, the most durable inflatable I've used in 50 years of camp/hunt!
This pad packs up light but inflates to a nice thick pad. Also boasts a high "R" value. I combine this with a foam fold up pad as well in colder temps and it adds great insulation to my sleep system. I like to deflate it as much as possible before I'm touching the ground and it makes for a comfy sleep. I bought 2 and use them often. No leaks or any air loss through the night and I can be hard on things at times.
Definitely more insulated. Tried in cold temp and stayed warm. Air needs adjustment based on back height preference. Can be too bulging if fully inflated. Separate Deflating hole is great and helpful to have but due to larger size, wrapping up takes a little longer.
I have used a klymit pad that is smaller for motorcycle camping but needed something for backpacking. I use an Agnes sidewinder and wanted a wider pad. This is a great pad and nicely priced compared to others. The only downside is weight and size.
Took this pad to mountain warfare training in the winter and it kept me plenty warm and comfortable for a few weeks but eventually it was not holding air as well as I liked. Looked for holes and couldn't find any and the seals still look intact. Not sure if I got a defective one but it was great while it lasted.
I slept on this pad for about 2 weeks straight, including in sub-zero temps. I used a -18 bag. The pad is very comfortable. However, the R-value is very far off from what Klymit claims. I had to stack with a z-lite to stay warm on cold nights. If it was really the R-value they claim there is no way I would need to do that. This pad is only good for 3 season max and car camping.
