Klymit Klymaloft Double Sleeping Pad, 78x53x5in, Green

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried a number of foam pads and air mattresses in my quest to go light and compact. This is neither. But this is the only pad I've been able to sleep on in any wilderness condition and get a decent night's rest. Thank you for this innovative design.

I wanted something a little thicker than the Klymit Static V-Luxe. As I get older, I'm a bit pickier since I side sleep. V-Luxe is good but this is a whole other level of comfort. Of course, it weighs more. However, there's no replacement for a good night sleep when you're camping or on the trail!

going from years of being stubborn and unwilling to add weight to my ruck for a pus-pad to finally using this, proved i was an idiot. The last field exercise was so much more enjoyable not waking up and taking 30 mins to losen my back up. and this pad was quiet and comfortable and was easy enough to inflate without a devise, just took but a minute or two.

I only recently received this, and haven't had it out in the field yet. I have inflated it and taken several naps, though, and must agree it is the most comfortable pad of its type that I have tried. It is about the same size or a little smaller than my old Thermarest Basecamp, but over twice as thick. It is soft, doesn't feel bouncy like some air pads, and is quite quiet. My only reservation is that the soft foam topper seems to be open cell foam held on by relatively thin/stretchy material. I imagine it will be harder to keep clean, won't dry quickly if it gets wet, and might not be as long-lasting as more typical pads (though all this is just speculation - and hopefully I am wrong). In any case, I'm really happy about the comfort, and that seems to be this pad's mission, so 5 stars for now!

It is super comfy and stays solid when sleeping on it, even when at a lower pressure it doesn't sag inwards like a lof of double pads. definitely takes a fair bit of air to pump up, so would recommend using t for trips where you might have a pump. car camping, rafting ect.

First off, the klymaloft foam topper is so different from any other sleeping pad I own and made sleeping almost like my own bed. I've tested this pad mainly indoors so far due to the pandemic but I would be very excited to sleep on it while car camping or even on a short backcountry trip despite its size. It has more than enough height, width and length for me and I don't feel like I'm going to fall off when I sleep on my side. I like the carrying/storage bag that it comes in as it could easily be attached to a pack or stowed in the car- it packs down fairly well. The valve system is easy to use and it's also simple and quick to deflate. The only potential downside would be its size if you were sharing a tent with other people but it would probably work out as it's not unreasonably wide. Overall an extremely comfortable 3 season pad.

I have used this pad two times spring car camping in the Utah desert so far. I have had the best camping sleep of my life ever on it! It packs down pretty small to stow in the car, and I love the innovative case it packs into. I bought the Double size, which is about the size of a double bed. My boyfriend and I both sleep on it and it isn't too crowded. The only reason I gave it an 8 instead of 10 is because my boyfriend had back/shoulder pain after sleeping (but he usually does when we car camp and has on past pads as well).

I purchased this to take traveling when I need extra padding on hotel or cruise ship beds. This is comfortable, but noisy. I can't move without it crinkling.

This pad is about as comfortable to sleep on as you can get when car camping; the memory foam layer is top notch, and it holds the air in through the night, sort of. The valve cover is an absolute nightmare to use. It should just snap shut but instead you have to fight with it, lose air, refill, fight with it some more, rinse and repeat. As you try and snap the valve cover in place, you end up applying pressure to the actual valve which then releases air. Also, I use the Klymit air pump they sell separately to fill up the mattress and it takes a while. Not sure how you could fill it up with out the pump either.
