Woohoooo!!!!! I just installed a K&N Short Ram Typhoon Kit model# 69-8601 on my 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS and Wow! The installation instructions were great, the color looks awesome inside the engine compartment, very clean looking and the system seats very sturdy using original mounts in the car. Here is the best part!!!! I have to say that the engine picked up about 14 more horse power. The sound produced by the engine now is so awesome, and the acceleration got so much better. Every time I get a chance now, I accelerate the vehicle almost to red-line just to hear and feel the difference. Too soon to say anything about gas consumption and mileage, but I have to assume it will just get better, after my need for speed goes away, je, je....!!!!!! Hats Off for K&N!!!!
