Nice quality easy install about 20 minutes
Just wanted to pass on my Kudos to such a great product. I have a 2003 Suburban with the 5.3l engine. I installed the 77-3023 kit about a month ago and have not looked back. I tow a boat on the weekends and just last week took a trip up in the mountains of Colorado. The true "performance" of the kit really showed while going up several steep mountain grades. Other vehicles had emergency flashers on because they could not keep their speed up while going up the hill. Not so with the my Suburban and the K&N 77 kit loaded down with luggage and family. It was not only able to keep up speed, but had plenty of power in reserve.
I installed the 77-3023KP system on my 2004 Chevy Avalanche with 5.3L engine and 93k miles. I just took a trip and got 19.5 mpg all highway miles doing between 70-75 mph. I never got more than 16.5 on any other previous long distance trips. I am getting 1.5 mpg more on my weekly driving routine. The performance enhancement is awesome, it sounds great.
It was an easy install. Took me about 45mins to get the old air box and hose off and install the K&N intake on my Chevy Silverado 1500hd with the 6.0L. Gave the exhaust more of a grumble, runs a little cooler at peak temp and overall seems more smooth of an intake system!
Just dropping a note to say, I have installed your 77-3023KP system on my 2003 Chevy Suburban 6.0L 3/4 4 wdr. and I have seen an improvement in gas mileage within the first 200 miles of driving. I'm at this point tickled with the increased fuel mileage, I'm looking for the long term return. lol. Thank you for the help in fighting the gas pump.
I just returned from a trip after installing a 77 series intake on my 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe that has a 5.3 flex-fuel V8. I am glad to say that I averaged 18 miles per gallon cruising at 70 miles per hour. That is much better than the 15 mpg I was getting prior to installation. The performance value is noticed also. It is more responsive to the throttle at any speed. Again, I am very satisfied with another K & N product.
Excellent quality intake system, I am getting at least 2 mpg more now on a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Pretty simple installation, although it would be nice if new hose clamps were included. You are supposed to use your old ones, but one of mine was too large, had to make a trip to the store for the correct size. For the price, they should be included in the kit. Other than that, very happy with it.
Put it on my 2007.5 Silverado Vortecmax and I love it. It added a deeper tone to my exhaust. I can really tell a difference in Hp I can''t stay out of the throttle.
I installed this KN air intake on my silverado ss in just about an hour. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The performance is definately noticeable, especially in the throttle response. Great product overall.
Biggest change is the noise. See little gain on power. No change on fuel yet. Hopefully it'll change. I have 980 miles on my truck with it now. Thought I'd notice a difference by now.
