I recently acquired a brand new BMW 120i cabriolet. Since I live in a city at 2700 foot altitude, the car losses horse power and it becomes almost unpleasant to drive in such conditions. I begun searching with my friends and I thought to remap the ECU, but you all know it could be a little bit risky because you can void your guarantee as well as the RON of our gas is not enough to support new map. Then I decided to go for an intake and filter from K&N. I have to confess I was skeptical about what I saw on the internet, where you can find good and bad experiences. At the end, I took my chances and replaced the air box for the K&N intake system. The result... I was amazed about the sound. The engine's sound seems to be more powerful, but the deal was closed once I get into my car and drove it. The lag of the acceleration almost disappeared and for sure I could feel more power and torque. The feeling of driving such a car is now different and totally pleasant in terms of power, sound and acceleration. Thanks K&N... You gave me back the good feeling of having a BMW.
