My Mustang GT is already awesome but the K&N cold air intake system made it even better! It was well worth the investment!
Great quality and easy to install
Purchased this for my 2020 mustang GT and right away the manufacture quality wasn't the best, we ended up needing to redrill and re thread one of the holes on the box because it was drilled in crooked from the box and the bolt wouldn't go in straight. It caused a check engine light with in 30 min of being on and has made the car throw two different misfire codes, one more major than the other, and a fuel system fault code. The day after putting it on I took the car on a cross country road trip total of 3000 miles, just a note my car is stock except for a mbrp resonator delete. I have a tuner and am going to be getting a tune soon from bama or Lund for it but the vehicle needs warranty work before it and I'm worried that with the cel Ford will void my warranty. Not exactly been a easy experience and has definitely caused me to buy a tuner way before I planned to.
Didn't even fit
My mechanic installed a K&N cold air induction system (63-2605) on my 2023 Mustang GT? I'm having all kinds of issues with the system. On the first test drive after installation, I drove it carefully for 20-30 miles then accelerated fairly hard and the car started shaking, the "pre collision" warning light came on and the "check engine soon" warning also appeared and there was a significant loss of power. All the lines and the the MAF sensor are correctly installed. The next day, I drove it again and although the warning light did not appear, there is still a lag/bogging down during even a 50% acceleration. Last night, I removed the cone filter and used K&N's filter cleaner to clean it. I let the cleaner soak in for 10 minutes and then spent 30 minutes thoroughly washing the filter with warm water to wash away any cleaning fluid and let it dry out overnight. Re-installed the filter after scrubbing out the box. On my next drive, the car seemed to drive well but after 30 minutes or so, it started to bog down during moderate acceleration. This intake is the only performance enhancing modification done to this car that has 31,000 miles on it. I contacted your support staff relating my issues. I heard back from her once or twice with suggestions to do things I'd already performed. The next time I emailed her, I received an email back from her saying she would be out of the office until September 11. At a loss now about what to do except take out the K&N system and re-install the original factory system.
Bought this for my 2023 GT . Will not seal. Had to use silicone to seal to get home. They sent me new tubes and air box and still a waste of time . Had to remove from car as it messed up my MAF sensor.
