K&N Performance Cold Air Intake System: Easy Installation, Engineered to Maximize Airflow, Boost Horsepower & Torque, 57-3031-1

I have used K&N intakes on my vehicles before and they always go on easy. I put this one on my 2006 Chevy Silverado to see if I could get better gas mileage and a little more power. My truck has the 6.0 gas motor and 35" tires, but isn't geared. I picked up about 0.8 miles per gallon and just a touch of power. I know this because I drive up the same mountain every day to go home and my truck isn't downshifting as soon.

This kit was a breeze to install with the instructions provided. My 2002 Chevy with the 6.0 litre engine needed the air after I installed [brand] headers and performance exhaust. The combination of intake and exhaust has improved the performance and longevity of my engine by lowering the temperature. The added horsepower and the awesome sound are bonuses.

I recently purchased the intake system for my 2003 Silverado 2500 HD with the 6.0L engine. I had used your drop in filters before on my other cars before and loved them but I am stunned with the difference the complete intake made in my truck. It really woke it up. Throttle response is very crisp now and the power is amazing. The one thing I wasn't expecting was the awesome sound that I also gained. I can not express enough the improvement your prodict made. I purchased the K&N cold air intake setup No.57-3031-1 for my 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.0 and I was surprised to see this thing actually works pretty darn well. So I had to buy one for my 2003 Navigator and they've made a big difference in hp and I also noticed I am getting better gas mileage in both vehicles. I would highly recommend these kits )

I use K&N filters or intake systems on all of my vehicles. I recently had the air intake system installed on my 2004 Siverado 2500 HD 6.0. They really never need cleaning (the dirtier the better K&N say's) unless the vehicle is subjected to a lot off off roading, dirt roads etc. My main reason in using them is that they keep the engine cooler. They're supposed to increase HP, fuel millage and possibly may do. I love the cooling they add!

The entire process from getting it ordered to installing it was very smooth. I would recommend this product to anyone interested. I am looking forward to pulling our fifth wheel to see how it affects performance of the truck.
