I have a Dodge Charger R/T. Before I place the intake kit on it ran good. Once I added the K&N Cold Air Intake to my car it felt like a jet. The throttle response increased, additionally, I could feel the increased house power. Buying the K&N intake system will increase your hp.
The photos with the instructions were hard to see, that detail would have helped with the orientation of a couple of the brackets, so installation took longer than expected. I love the added performance & sound. Besides the intake sound, my [brand removed] exhaust system has a deeper & much louder sound now. There is a definite increase in power & acceleration.
Very satisfied with CAI, my Challenger sounds better and was easy to install. Can feel a difference in the throttle.
Thank you, your intake kit kicks a now (63-1114). My Hemi was fast before, but NOW I got my first speeding ticket EVER!! Congrats.
Purchased for my 2014 Challenger. Have some automobile repair ability but did find a fair degree of difficulty due to poor illustrations and limited instructions. Took close to 2 hours to finish installation for me. Been on about two weeks and have been very satisfied. On a recent 200 mile hwy drive noticed a 3 mpg increase and a significant horsepower boost esp. at 60mph and above. Overall very satisfied. Was well worth it.
I bought this kit but traded it for the 57-1542 because the latter is 50 state legal. Because this fits several different models of Chrysler/Dodge vehicles, it was a little harder to install. A big help was the extension pigtail included for the air temp sensor. The original cable would have been stretched to its limit.
The intake pipe and installation parts worked great and everything was easy to put together. The heat shield/heat box and gasket are a rough fit and seem to leave wide gaps where heat still gets through but there is still an improvement in how the car responds and the sound of the engine bay is also a bit different. Overall, love the after-effects and with a matching paint to my engine cover the kit looks great in the car!
Great product, love the extra engine sound at full throttle. Gas mileage increased by two mpgs. Problem is I really like the sound so its hard to keep the mileage up. LOL. 2011 Chrysler 300c 5.7L.
This intake is worth the money you spend. I installed it on a 2013 Dodge Charger. Installation was a breeze.
I hate to leave negative reviews but what should've taken me an hour has consumed an entire afternoon because specifications of this product are not bolt-on to 2023 Dodge Challenger 5.7L V8 HEMIs. I've installed intakes on cars before and most of them were bolt on and relatively quick and painless, but the amount of finagling that this took to get into place and the instruction manual even says you'll need to finagle just looks like lack of attention to detail by the manufacturer so that this truly is a "bolt on" product. Moreover, there are links to installation help videos, but their YouTube videos are from over 10 years ago and while the Challenger body hasn't changed significantly, the components in the engine bay have so videos are not helpful in the slightest. I'm not bashing K&N overall but they really need to do a better job at making their installation instructions and the components more aligned with the vehicle vehicles that they "fit".
