K&N Performance Cold Air Intake System: Easy Installation, Engineered to Maximize Airflow, Boost Horsepower & Torque, 57-1529

I just purchased a series 57 FIPK for my 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L V8.  WOW!!  I had just put a cat back exhaust system on it the week before and with your cold air intake I have awakened a sleeping giant!  Definitely has more power.  The engine runs smoother.  Waiting to see the effect on fuel economy.   Thanks!

I bought a 57-1529 Cold Air Intake Kit for my 2007 Ram 1500 with the 4.7 V8. Installation was a snap, even thought the adaptor wire for the Intake Air Temp Intake Sensor was not included. I called K&N, and they immediately sent me an adaptor harness for no charge. I noticed immediate improvements in power and gas mileage, I could not be happier with my decision to buy this kit for my truck. My mileage went from average of 12 to 14 before the kit to 17 to 25 mpg (depending on driving) recently on a trip from New York. The only complaint I have is that the application page should have mentioned that the OE harness for the Air Intake Temperature Sensor was too short and to ask for the adaptor harness. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to improve their vehicle, and actually I did recommend this to my son for his Dakota.

First off the delivery was impeccable, came a day earlier than expected! But that's besides the point. K&N delivers a very good and clean product well-done from the bottom up and I wouldn't compare them to anyone else. They do deliver some of the best CAI systems and Filters out there. I replaced my stock intake system with this FIPK 57K-2nd gen series CAI and it was instantly noticeable. After a few days though, the computer kicked in and erased its gains...(but what can u say, it's stock)... but there is no slacking on K&N's side. If you put the money forth to really modify your car, than K&N is the way to go. Also on a side note be sure to upgrade that exhaust system, if the air cant get out as fast or faster than its coming in, there's no point. I equipped this on my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L SLT, 2WD/RWD. Thanks for the great product K&N.

Dodge Ram1500 I wanted to write you guys and tell you how much I love my K & N filter.  When I purchased the filter it was initially for better performance.  I own a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.7 liter V8.  As a new truck it performed poorly and had poor gas mileage.  I would get 375 to 380 miles out of a tank of gas.  With the K& N Generation 2 FIPK I could immediately tell the difference in performance, sound of the motor and most of all better gas mileage (400 to 420 miles).  I do not typically write in to these forums but, I have to let people know how much I love this filter.

Awesome addition. The sound is great. Definitely feel the gain in power. Truck is more responsive even when pulling camper trailer. Not very much gain in mileage per gallon but did gain 2 to 3. Awesome product.

Love my air intake I could hear and feel the difference in horsepower. It is a must get if you are looking into buying something that will enhance your truck. Installation was simple and quick.

I bought this for my brother for Christmas. He is happy with it. Simple installation. Acceleration and better gas milage is what he wanted and he got it here.

Bought mine for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 and installation was really easy! I’ve had it for about 2 years now and it was a great decision. It showed immediate horsepower gains especially after coupling it with an X pipe haha.

Easy installation, very efficient and effective. Love the product and the boost it provides to our Charger is outstanding.

Kit is as expected from K&N. Installation took just about 90 minutes. Only critique I have is the plastic nipple for the PCV valve snapped, went to the local store & picked up a brass nipple for $10 so I would recommend that before you start.
