K&N Performance Cabin Air Filter: Lifetime, Washable, Engineered to Maximize Airflow, VF2055

Just purchased last week. Installed in my Subaru and you can honestly feel the airflow difference and obvious cleaner smell from the new filter. Wise decision when thinking about eliminating maintenance cost annually. Quality and branding unmatched.

Took 5 minutes to install and despite being more durable, it was still less than the dealership would charge. I can't tell whether it's performing any better than the stock unit, but having a filter I can replenish makes me feel better and maybe I'll even clean it more frequently now.

I have been using K&N air filters for many years. I have always enjoyed the performance improvement, easy care for continued long life, and fine construction. I converted to a Cold Air Intake on my 2016 Subaru. I am using a K&N cone filter now with a water repellent full air flow screen to protect against Hydrolock once again the difference is even more amazing. This is my first and last cabin filter from K&N, and again delighted.

I install every filter in my cars with a K&N. That includes my Harley. I also buy the K&N filter cleaning kit. 100%

I bought this filter kit as a love all of the air filters that K&N produces. I loved the idea of having it be a lifetime filter. When I went to install the initial filter, the filter fit perfectly but the back plate would not stay on. The clips would not pop into place. The smallest movement would pop the back plate off exposing the filter. I contacted K&N supporter twice and after those calls and new products, it still will not stay on. I gave them the make/model and even VIN to confirm I had the correct product.

This filter does NOT fit a 2020 WRX. It it a totally different design. The OEM has a curve to it. I tried jamming it on and no way will it filter anything. Went back to other aftermarket. Waste of money.
