5 Star Review

W.J. January 30, 2019

I am very pleased with both the ease of instalation and the results I have experienced in the short time I have had my F.I.P.K. installed on my 2006 Chevy Silverado Intimidator SS Pick-Up W/6.0 Ltr.Eng. Black Beauty.  The only issue I had was getting the Mass Flow Air Sensor Elec. connector un-plugged without breaking the little plastic clip that helpes hold it in place. I prevailed by taking my time and checking with my mechanic.  Total install time was approx. 2 hrs. again I really took my time.  As they say measure twice and cut once  Thanks K&N for a super product and directions, this coming from a non mechanic.

I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado 5.3L Crew Cab that I just bought. It was averaging 15.5 mpg around town. Today I installed a K&N filter and the mileage jumped to 18mpg not to mention the extra response the throttle has!!!!! I would have never believed that an air filter would have made that much difference. I'm sold! I bought one for my wife's car and I'll be sure to let all my friends know about it.Thanks a bunch.

I have a 2006 Silverado 5.3L with a Flex engine.  When I first bought my truck on the freeways I was getting 17-19 MPG. I knew I could do better than that and I always used K&N Air Filters so I replaced my stock GM filter with a K&N filter. With just the filter alone I went from 17-19 mpg to 20-21 mpg. Knowing I should be able to do better I bought a cold air intake system from K&N then I went to 21-24 mpg. Now I have just installed a cat-back exhaust to free up the exhaust out take. Getting easy 22-28 mpg.  Just waiting on K&N to help with intown driving. Still bad there 16-17 mpg if your lucky .. But thanks K&N for the great freeway mileage.

OH my!! To all this may concern,      Now there was a level of hesitation when I hit the "Enter" button to complete the order for a 63-3050 (AirCharger Air Intake) for my 2006 GMC Sierra ½ ton, but now let me tell you the story after I received it.      My level of expertise working on an engine reaches only as far as an oil change and battery connections for my amplifier. This was EASY to Install.  It took me, from opening the box to starting the engine, 35 minutes to install and I was being very careful to not screw anything up.  By the way, there is really nothing you can do to screw the install up unless you lose a part or run something over.      Anyway, after starting the engine I didn't hear too much of a difference from my upgraded exhaust, but my exhaust is loud enough as it is anyway.  I took it on the freeway and WOW, the take off is amazing and the sound….  I tell you that there is very nice RUMBLE coming out from under my hood and resonating out of my exhaust..      The sound/power is not the only thing.  I filled up my gas this morning and took the EXACT same route I take every morning to work, reset all my gauges to ensure accurate measurement and I couldn't believe that I really gained just under 2MPG.  I was really, really skeptical about the claims of MPG gains so this almost blew me away.  I was getting 14.7 mpg to work and it went up to 16.5mpg.  That's really good mileage for me due to the truck being lifted and with heavier tires.      I am the average Joe that was looking for increases in my truck performance and this exceeded my expectations.  Again, I was a MAJOR skeptic and had the mindset of, "If this thing didn't show me the slightest improvement I had no problem sending it back", so I am proud to say that K&N took all the doubts away from me and it is a product I recommend to the folks that are reading these testimonials religiously before taking that big $250-$300 step just as I did.      K&N all they away, these guys can correct this statement if I am wrong but I think that K&N are one of the true originators of intakes so this should tell everyone out there that they've got to be doing it RIGHT!!!!!

I purchased the 57-3050 FIPK air system in January along with Gibson headers and Flowmaster dual exhaust for my 2005 GMC Sierra (5.3 engine) crew cab and haven't regretted it yet. The K&N stands out in the crowd with that throaty sound when my foot is on the gas. Along with the headers and the exhaust system it's hard not to keep your foot out of the gas. My next thing to do to my GMC is Pulsar Plugs.

Easy to install, took about 45 min to install in 28 deg weather. My advice is to watch the install video to be on the safe side, helped a lot. Love the extra power, MPG's and it also gave me 4 more mph on my governed truck. Now I top out at 102 merging onto a highway is so much easier now.

Just Installed mine about a week ago and right off the bat throttle responses were amazing! My truck sounds amazing. Before the installation I got around 11 mpg. Now, with the intake I am averaging about 15 mpg. Amazing product. Well worth the money!

Good addition to my truck

Old gear May 4, 2020

I installed the filter in about an hour. it looks great and was easy to install. What surprised me was I experienced better throttle response, and it woke up my L33 LS Engine's performance.

Very satisfied. Product came quick and included everything to make the install quick and painless. Even through the snowstorm that started midway through. The directions were very clear and my truck has definitely seen an increase in performance

Awful return policy and I had to pay shipping

David October 8, 2024

I brought this item back to Walmart in Harrisonburg, VA and was told 'you need to contact the 3rd party and arrange return shipping'. When I shop at Amazon, returns are easily done at UPS without this kind of hassle. I will never again order a $350 item on Walmart.com because of the return hassle. Also, your vendor charged me shipping of $47 !!! Again, Amazon Prime NEVER treats customers like this!
