Fantastic part, I just installed it into my 2015 ford explorer XLT a couple days ago with no problem you can almost do it without the instructions!! I love the RIDICULOUS sound that it provides (the video on here does it no justice). The extra HP is there but its really the torque that you feel. 100% would buy again!!!!!! Thank you K & N

Just installed the intake yesterday. My wife called me right after she started driving it. She was pretty startled after accelerating into traffic because the car sounded so aggressive, she thought another car was upset she had cut them off and was accelerating into her. She couldn't believe the deep tone was coming from the Explorer! The intake completely changes how the car accelerates and sounds - love it! It's not louder, just a lower tone when accelerating. Hoping the mpg on the highway improves as well!

You should know, that if you buy this product you will be thoroughly satisfied with your purchase which will most likely result in more driving, cooler sounds, more power and pretty much just more fun. Installation is a breeze and K&N gives you everything you need and even some extras. I will ALWAYS buy air filters and intakes from K&N. Thank you!

So far, very pleased. I installed the unit yesterday and drove in to work early this morning. There was a definite improvement in throttle response. The delay was gone. I think that pick up increased but that was hard to tell as I had the ac off and windows open and typically I have the ac on. I will say this, incredible sound. Under normal driving, you don't hear anything different but if you punch it, you will hear a woof of that air coming in and it sounds impressive!

This was one of the easiest installs I have done, The sound is amazing. My SUV has a bit more get up and go, again it sounds AMAZING. I would highly recommend this product to a friend. It lined up with all the appropriate connections, it was basically a plug and play, with a few extra steps. The written instructions were easy to follow, the installation video was great, I found myself referring back to it a few times. Great job K&N!!!

I installed this on a 2016 Explorer Limited. It looks and sounds awesome. The motor feels a bit more powerful too. No real change on the gas mileage but that's ok.

K&N state this is compatible with 2018 Explorer without turbo as advertised. It does not align with intake and where filter is mounted. 2 inches too long and slightly bent angle on pipe cause the misalignment. (Yes, I am mechanically inclined) Though I was able to make it fit, do not buy this part for your Ford Explorer! Instruction are great though and easy.

Product fits good untill its time to conect the mass air sensor, my engine has the sensor on the rear not in the front as showed in the pictures .
