K&N Performance Cold Air Intake System: Easy Installation, Engineered to Maximize Airflow, Boost Horsepower & Torque, 57-3023-1

I installed a 57-3023-1 (air intake) on my roomate's GMC pickup 1/2 ton 4wd 4.8 auto about a month ago. He tells me that it is still gaining power and performance every time he drives it and I think the computer is still adjusting to it. He say's he can't step on it from a stop anymore without breaking the tires loose, even on the second gear upshift and what he notices on the highway when coming to a hill it doesn't kick down nearly as often as it used to. I just bought one for my Grand Cherokee, can't wait to see the difference part No.57-1526

I gained much more then 15hp with the kit. Before I was getting 50 miles on a 1/4 of a tank of gas and now I'm getting about 65+ to a 1/4 tank. Real results are not available since my wife drives my truck.. LEAD FOOT!! Have recommended this product to others that are married and with trucks, cars or over all trying to conserve gas.

This cold air system is performing perfectly and it was very easy to install, K&N uses very high quality components in their kits and the performance is definitely noticeable, overall I'm very impressed and not only would I tell friends about it but I have Thanks K&N for a great product

The directions are clear and very straightforward. It is estimated that it will take about 90 minutes to install the K&N Performance Intake Kit. There are three small allen screws that are used to attach the filter. I dropped one of them in the engine compartment and was not able to find it. I contacted one of your representatives and admitted to losing one screw. She stated she will have a screw sent to me at no additional cost! This is wonderful customer service! Kudos!

I replaced the standard K&N box filter in my 2001 GMC Sierra C3 with the Cold Air Intake version (FIPK). It took me about an hour to install, (I'm not a mechanic). I immediately noticed a difference in the sound (under the hood)and performance. I have a trip computer in the vehicle and the mileage has also improved, about 2mpg on the highway. I can really feel the difference when I step on the accelerator. The engine fired right up and went through some adjustment (like the idle). I drove it for about an hour. The second time I started it up it seemed to improve even more. So far so good, I like this product.

I love this system. It wasn't really that hard to install at home, but it just takes time and patience. The only thing that I encountered was the clearance issue between the fan cover and the intake tube, but got that taken care of just by grinding down the engine fan cover a little bit. Then it worked just fine. I've even noticed a HUGE gain in horsepower and torque. Now you get pinned to the seats under full throttle!!!!(literally) The truck that I have is a 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS 4X4 with a 6.0 under the hood!!!! I've also noticed a GIANT gain in MPG. I have only driven about 50-60 miles so far and the needle is still on full. I average around 10-14 MPG with stock intake. I Hope the MPG Goes up. Horsepower/Torque went up Though!!!!

Sirs; I have never written to any company and told them that their product's either good nor bad. Yesterday I received my new FIPK Gen. II for my 2001 Tahoe 5.3 vortec and installed it post haste. I have always run K&N filters on just about every thing that I have owned. This morning I put about 150 quick miles on it to see how it would pan out and I must say it adds much more power than I had expected. I have worked on airplanes all of my life and I'm impressed with how well the kit fits and it's ease of installation. I have found that, that is not the norm in the automotive world. I would like to give you some well deserved Kudos' for the kit. Thank you

Just installed FIPK 57-3023-1 cai on my 2004 Silverado ss. Wow what an improvement! An engine is basically an air pump. The faster the air goes in and the faster it leaves equals horsepower. The K&N Fipk really brings air (life) to my truck. Even at low rpm. Very easy to install and perfect fit. Just need to add headers and full exhaust now to complete the system. Thanks for making another quality product!

I've been running a cold air unit on my 02' Silverado 5.3 has only 65000 miles, two years now I would not look at any other way to ride. People cant believe I get a steady 19 miles to the gallon. Looking to put one on the wife's 01 LS 430!!!

I've had the new CAI on for over a week now on my 2004 Tahoe LT. The throttle response seems to be a little better. More intake noise than I expected under mid to wide-open throttle. It was a no-brainer for me to add this to my Tahoe because I had such a positive experience when installing one on my 1996 Impala SS. I'll be adding an aftermarket Cat-back system in the near future. I'm expecting positive results with that combination once completed.
