K&N Performance High-Flow Engine Air Filter: Washable, Multi-Layer Protection, Engineered to Boost Horsepower, E-1998

This must be my 20th K&N product. I expected it to drop right in, but I had to trim a few small plastic ribs in the stock filter housing to get it to fit right, otherwise my lovely filter would be damaged. I can clearly hear and feel the improvement, especially in the way the lazy 2.4 motor now revs easier. Fuel consumption also improved by about 1mpg.

This makes somewhere close to 10 air filters and one cold air induction (CAI) systems applied to my vehicles. The first thing that I do when a new vehicle is purchased is to replace the OEM filter with the latest K&N filter and CAI system.I have experienced many years of good fuel economy in all of my vehicles. The increased intake air provides much better breathing capability and increases the HP and gives the vehicle better acceleration. I will always use these filters in my vehicles.

I installed this in my Jeep and noticed more power right away!!!!

Looks exact for Jeep compass/ patriot 2.3 L engine.....take a gazzilion metric screws off of air filter chamber and there you go.....comes with a adjustable clamp but is not needed. Once you pull old out....the fun begins. Correct angle, twisting and maybe some knuckle busting but it fits. Fits tight! Power increase is not notice able (its not a hellcat engine under the hood) but milage seemed to go up about 3 mpg highway
