Big difference in performance, acceleration, seems to be more power, cant wait to check the fuel mileage and see if I pickup some gas mileage.
All of my vehicles have K&N Air Filters and I have been using these products for well over a decade. One of the first things I do (like in this case) when we buy a new vehicle is order a K&N filter. With the computers and information centers on these new vehicles, it's easy to immediately see the improvement on gas mileage. And over the years, car dealer service departments have become a lot more 'user friendly' with cars equipped with K&N filters.
I've been using K&N for years now. I recommend it to all friends and family. My wife likes it in her 2014 Chevy Euinox car now she says she gets better gas mileage and gave her a little more power. I got one on my 2007 Chevy Silverado LT and on my 1971 Chevy RS Nova. I wouldn't buy anything else but K&N . I even use the K&N oil filter too.
I purchased this K&N Filter for better performance and increased MPG. It arrived in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. This is my second purchase of this type of filter for vehicles I own. The filter is an exact fit and easy to replace with less maintenance over the years.
I have a K&N filter on my Harley, one in my equinox and had one on my 500SL before I sold it. All were easy to install and felt subtle changes in idle, mpg and peppiness for all applications. The most recent purchase is for my 2010 equinox. My vehicle gets better highway mileage but overall combined is still near the same as before. The engine is less strained during acceleration and highway mileage is much better. I mostly do stop and start city driving so I am not seeing a significant combined change . However if I reset my average when I do highway I see I can get 2mpg better than before. Easiest upgrade you can do for your 3.0 V6. Takes about 15 minutes to change filters. Next is to install on my 2003 corvette(16000 mile beauty).
I just bought a new 2014 GMC Terrain and I did what I've done with the last eight new vehicles I've purchased I replaced the original factory air filter with a K&N filter. In every case, I've seen an improvement in fuel economy and an increase in horsepower. What's not to like about that?!
Excellent product, I always switch my vehicles to a K&N filters. Still have one in my 1998 Chevy K1500.
This filter made a significant difference in how my 2017 GMC Terrain V6 performs, much better acceleration and a nicer exhaust note when pushing it.
I HAVE HAD GREAT RESULTS WITH THIS FILTER, SMOOTHER PEFORMANCE, INCREASED POWER, FASTER RESPONES TIMES.
I was looking forward to the experience with my new air filter, but I had to return it because it actually decreased my MPG by 5 miles per gallon.. my car seemed to struggle even being idle. The customer service though was good and they immediately issued a return label.
