7 years , 5.5 more horsepower
7 years and still looks and performs like new. I just clean the filter, slap it back on , easy peazie! I put it on my brand new 2018 Harley Deluxe. After putting in hotter cams I need new o rings but can't find any here.

The problem these guys are complaining about is due to their lack of basic mechanical abilities. Mount it correctly, and enjoy 😏

Poor quality materials
I love the oval look of the filter & assembly- it's the quality of the materials used in the backing plate that is the problem- cracks began forming around where the mounting bolts attach the unit to the throttle body rendering it useless- I was concerned that some of the metal would get sucked into the motor and cause damage.

The backing plate are junk
I ordered this part directly from k&n and the backing plate cracked within 30 days I ran a different intake for a long time I like the way it looks so I ordered a second one same thing the backing plate is junk it just falls apart.
