Easy to change
I buy them because you can use a regular wrench and it's very easy to change. And it's black, which looks good. Seems to work fine, better for the price

K&N filters are the easiest on and off filter I know of. Better than OEM. I had been getting them at Autozone for some years, but they're half the price at Walmart!

Questionable filter thread quality
I've been changing my own oil for many many years. I put this filter on hand tight and then another 1/4 twist. It seemed fine but leaked when i added oil. I tightened it and it still leaked. I tightened it even more and it stopped dripping till i started the motor and then it dumped oil everywhere. I took it off and found it had cross threaded. I've never had a filter cross-thread on me. Once i cleaned up the threads I bought a new honda filter and it went on no problem.
