Well designed universal cold air intake system
This product truly lends itself to universal cold air intake integration. I have this installed in a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer with a highly modified 5.0L V8 producing around 400 hp. This intake assembly allows for the attachment of an external tube which I've routed into the fenderwell to avoid ingestion of the hot engine compartment air. Without the air intake tube, the air charge temperature was logging at up to 174F, but with it the temperature is down to 110F or whatever the current ambient is in southern Arizona.
