I finally broke down and bought a new knife set after probably 13 years. The knives are heavy, well constructed and extremely sharp. The display stand is beautiful and extremely sleek. I spend time researching products and comparing prices before making purchases. The price for the quality was great! I’m extremely pleased with my purchase.

Growing up, I remember my Mom have a set of knives that had handles that would come loose and eventually fall off. Did not want that! with these knives being all the way through and through, I don't have to worry about that! touch of elegance to, personally. It's pleasing to my eyeballs, lol.

The knife set is wonderful, and unexpectedly affordable considering the quality and durability. We’ve had this knife set for 5-1/2 months now, and they have kept up performance without sharpening since then. There is hardly a day they go unused. I am unhappy, however, with the quality of the holder. The holder came to us slightly bent, and the chrome plastic pieces broke very easily. I would suggest the manufacturers start using a metal to replace those pieces. Instead of throwing the plastic away, and getting a knife block, as a conciencias consumer, we kept it. The aesthetic of the holder is pleasing and space conscious, and it would be environmentally responsible and ethical to reinforce the design, thereby encouraging more consumers in keeping with this plastic holder rather than giving it to a landfill. Even a bamboo holder would be neat!
