Kobalt Gen4 40-volt 15-in Straight Cordless String Trimmer (Tool Only)

I originally bought a Kobalt set combining the mower, trimmer and blower. The trimmer was the worst item of the three. Hard to use, hard to advance the string, hard to put new string in. When the bump head wore through, a replacement head was no longer available. Bought this model as installing new string seamed easier and it did not come with a battery and charger as I already had those. Works well so far. String advances nicely. It has a two speed switch which I like. Cuts well and works with my existing batteries. Assembly was easy.

I had a previous version of this trimmer for many years, but it finally stopped feeding line. I saw this model at Walmart for an excellent price and ordered it. It arrived in a couple of days and works perfectly with my existing battery. Great product.

This seems much lighter and more powerful than my previous model. It is also much easier to load the string.

I returned it because it was not co.patible with .y other Kobalt tools. SoI can't speak to the quality, other than I am pleased with Kobalt tools in general.
