I had high expectations for this product and it met them. It fits on your palm and it's very light. What really pleases me is the e-ink (?) technology that is really easy on the eye and yet there is a backlight system that comes handy on a flight. I should have bought it sooner!
I'm an avid reader and always thought I'd really prefer conventional books but the Kobo has won me over. It was really easy to get it up and running (I am over 70). It's convenient to be able to browse the excellent selection of books whenever the mood strikes. I can read in bed all night if I want and I don't disturb my husband who can't sleep with a light on. I love the way it keeps my place in a book. I like the small size - easily fits in my purse, I take it with me everywhere. I keep the books that I've enjoyed and I might reread them in a few years. I've run out of space to keep said books, I understand this Kobo will hold a couple thousand book! I would recommend this little gem to anyone who enjoys reading!
I bought this for a Christmas gift for my mother and found it so easy to use I had to buy another one for myself. A must buy for someone who you know that enjoys reading. There are lots of Facebook groups that will help you with this reader how to import your books and where to purchase your books. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do! 8)
Absolutely LOVING this!! I love that I can get Overdrive on it and get books from my library. With Covid going on I was looking for something to read on since my local library is closed. I didn't like Kindle for the fact my account got hacked and I permanently lost all my books. This seemed like a much better solution for me personally and I couldn't be happier!!
This is the second Kobo reader I have bought. If this lasts as long as my old one it will be great.
i love the new little kobo, well i have had a couple of kobo readers now and i like this one the best the first one i had had no back lighting so this one is easier to read.
This is smaller than others I have seen but perfect for me. It does have a bit of cheap looking screen but holds its power well. Just know you cannot buy books on it. You must go through the app. Works well.
It's a great reader and I enjoy it every day. My one regret is that I didn't buy the one with built in Overdrive. It was more money but worth it as I now understand.
I liked te Kobo Aura 6, but it gave up on me 10 days after receiving it. It just froze on me, could not go forward o back. Ended up calling Kobo customer service. Poor service, could not do anything unless they had the unit. Ended up going to a WalMart store, returned it and got a new one. I had to go to two WalMart stores as the first one did not have it. Found it on the second one. Thanks to WalMart. The replacement works so far, but I only have it a few days so far.
Clunky, slow, not very intuitive to operate. Getting it to work with libraries is a pain. Not very useful for even basic card type games or anything but Walmart/Kobo eBooks. For the 100 bucks it cost one'd be better off with a tablet. Screen is nice, has a very long battery life, very portable and easy to carry.
