It works wonderfully. I use it every day.
I have both the Libra 2 and the Sage. I also have just about every Kindle ever made. The latest Kindle Paperwhite has the new Carta 1200 screen like the the Libra 2 and Sage, but the screen is much clearer and the text much sharper on the Kobo's than the Kindle and the font and line spacing options are so much better than Kindle's. I've always liked how the Kobo's check for updates whenever you sync compared to Kindle's which don't always update the way they should. I also like how you can quickly download your entire library at once compared to Kindle's that force you to download one book at a time. Overdrive also makes it much easier to borrow library books than Kindle's do. The Libra 2 is a great ereader, but the 8" screen on the Sage is just the perfect size, at least for me, and the ability to take notes and have your own notebook is just fantastic. I really didn't think I'd use it much, but I've ended up finding a lot of uses for it. I could keep going, but this is getting too long as it is. I think the Sage is the best ereader you can buy today. Even the Kindle Oasis doesn't come anywhere close.
It is easy to use., easy to read. I love it!
Excellent screen. Its beautiful. Battery not so much but its acceptable. I do love it.
I really dig this e-reader. Have purchased books %26 checked out library books wit no issues. I wish it had cell tech (like my 20 year old Kindle did), but it seems all new readers are WiFi only. Tried a new Kindle 3 times %26 the technology %26 support both let me down. Tried Kobo because of the high customer ratings %26 am very happy with it. 4 star rating is only because I haven't had it that long.
I got mine directly from Kobo. I fully charged it 3x like any other Li battery to get the best battery life. I've read 2 books (~18 hours of reading) since my last charge 2 weeks ago. I still have 31% left. I have the cover to make it sleep and have the backlight at 15% and wifi on. the page turn buttons have not worked 2x in 3000 clicks but tapping the screen corrected the issue. battery is smaller but the reader sends much more efficient. takes ~30-40 minutes to fully chsrge.
Both form- and function-wise, the Kobo Sage is almost indistinguishable from the Kobo Forma. The positive differences are that it uses USB C instead of the older USB format plug and the power button is a recessed, round button on the back instead of a protruding, rectangular button on the side (and it's easier to use). Note, though, that for whatever reason, there's almost no functional benefit to the USB C port: the format's nice, but transferring books via it isn't all that much faster and charging is nearly the same (a bit under two hours instead of a bit over two hours). The negative differences are that it's significantly thicker and heavier and, most importantly, battery life (which on the Forma was already a pretty bad 12 hours) is only about 8 hours (2/3 of the Forma's). If the battery life had been even the same as the Forma's I'd have kept it. But, 8 hours of reading time on an ereader is just silly. So, back it's going.
Bad battery. Draining out within a day.
