It seems to work just fine.....I haven't had it long... I DO like the design of the battery door better than the Kodak Pixpro FZ43 that I have. In the past, I have had three different brand cameras with the kind of battery door design where the little plastic nib that holds the door closed broke off.... The design on this KODAK PIXPRO AZ401 Bridge Digital Camera has a different design, and I'm thinking I won't have this problem again. I am no a photography expert...but from my perspective, it takes nice photos!
I was very nervous about purchasing this camera because of the negative reviews but after giving it a try all I can say is WOW!! I was very surprised at the quality of the pictures. Very clear, very vibrant and super nice. The camera has a 40x zoom and it does take a steady hand when it’s zoomed out that far. The thing I noticed from another Kodac camera I had is you push the button halfway down and then the camera focuses on the subject. If you rush past that detail none of the pictures will be in focus. I found the camera very easy to use in all different environments. We went on a very long hike through the 4 Peaks mountain range where we had panoramic veiws of Rossevelt Lake on 1 side and the Superstition mountains on the other. The camera preformed flawlessly. Except those times when I was zoomed all the way out, the camera takes awhile to actually focus, the picture taking was effortless and enjoyable! 1 thing, the lens cap does not stay on but a small piece of tape fixed that! I would recommend this camera to any one who is looking for something that costs a little less but preforms like a higher priced camera. As for the batteries, I like the fact that they are NOT rechargable. I will never find myself unable to take pictures because my batteries aren’t charged. Just put in 4 new batteries and off we go. It’s not THAT big of a deal to carry extras in the case that I have for it. I have not noticed the camera being a huge battery hog. I’ve taken about 200 pictures and still have yet to change from the batteries that came as start up batteries. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I bought the sd card at the same time. The camera discription clearly states what card will work and what will not work. Buy the correct card and there should be no problems. I am very glad that I didn’t let the negative reveiws push me in another camera dirrection. This camera is way better than I thought it would be because of those reveiws. I expect many years of use from this camera just like I had from my last Kodac camera. Great product, great price and completely satisfied with my purchase of this AMAZING little gem.
I had a Canon Powershot - an appendage...loved it because I liked the AA batteries vs. lithium because I can replace them, easily rather than recharge them. I don't need all of the extra lenses, either. So, this Kodak camera is a twin to the Canon body. The settings pop up on the monitor, so I can adjust the photo for sports, portrait, etc. Great video and audio, too. I like the red color of the camera. The only problem I had was I kept trying to put the monitor up to my eye - there's no viewfinder or an adjustable monitor like on the Canon and I had a little trouble viewing the screen in sunlight. It's okay. I paid $100 for a 40X, 16 MP lense. I'll work out the kinks, I'm sure.
Simply outstanding. i work as an insurance inspector, my boss recalled the canon bridge camera i was using, instead of buying another one for 300 dollars, i decided to give this little gem a chance. i was surprised by what I got for the cost. first of all it's important to remember that kodak of yesterday doesn't make cameras anymore, this is made by a california company called jk imaging. but from what I read kodak was particular that there brand wasn't to be another cheap garbage throw away like the other big name has beens. i would highly recommend any cameras from jk imaging aka kodak Pixpro. the images are crisp clear and we'll balanced, the cameras look professional and are well made. zooming in and out, and the focus is slower than more higher end cameras, but is hardly noticable, and an easy trade off for the cost. the camera focuses quick, has a good zoom, and is an all round good camera. glad to see the kodak name alive and well, and good to see that it still holds alot of value and trust inside those gold and black boxes.
Very nice camera, takes really good clear photos. The zoom is amazing! I took pictures of my daughters archery tournament and I zoomed all the way up to see where she hit the target! My phone wouldn't do that! It has a ton of options, I don't understand, but if I did the pictures would be even better!
I'm rating it 4 stars instead of 5 stars because of the way it got packed/shipped to me. It was in a much bigger box than it needed to be in. And to top it off there was absolutely no bubble wrap in the big box it came in. So it was literally rattling around in a big box. Coming from California to Washington State. I am surprised that my camera wasn't broken all. But I am glad it wasnt broken because it would've made me very upset. But its a great camera
An 64GB micro card was offered with this camera. The camera will not work with anything greater than a 32 GB card. It is not compatible with a micro card. My wife was trying to get the camera setup for our granddaughter to use for Christmas. It was a good thing she checked it out early. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet.
Just received this camera - appears to be all that I expected, HOWEVER DO NOT BUY THE MICRO SD CARD THAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE ONLINE AD. The manual for this camera clearly states that Micro SD cards (even with an adapter) are NOT compatible with the camera
I ordered the KODAK PIXPRO AZ401 Bridge Digital Camera - 16MP 40X Optical Zoom HD720p video (Red) and I received a cheap Kodak FZ45 with 4X optical Zoom. I will be returning it and looking for another seller. I won't use Walmart again due to the seller trying to give me a cheaper camera than the one I purchased.
my husband bought me this camera on black friday used it on Christmas and hasnt worked since then. keeps saying battery exhausted when I have put endless amounts of new batteries in it to try to get it to work. worked great the one time I got to use it.
