Kodiak Furniture Monterey Futon with Linen Fabric Mattress in Gray/White

Reasonably easy to assemble. Very comfortable. Would recommend if you're looking for a nice futon with storage

I love this! We needed it for our small den? The quality is excellent! The mattress is very thick, heavy, but quality! It is a futon though? So it's not the softest mattress, but it's not the hardest either! I have a fire place and if you have joint problems with arthritis ti sit on this? I think it is comfortable enough for sitting and it is comfortable enough for a guest to sleep on. It's not going to be your beauty rest mattress? But it is much thicker %26 much more comfortable than the cheap ones! The quality of the mattress and if the wood is excellent! However? Be for warned! It is a huge job to build it! Comes apart with lots of boards. You have to build the seat part and the frame part. But we are older, so it took my husband a few days. Younger folks could probably do it in one day. I love also how the fold down works! There are two groves in the wood like notched out, slots. One is on the bottom of the fold down frame %26 the other slotted , notched out wood grove is on the top on the inside where the frame folds down. Has rubber things you put on it. On each side, so when you pull down? Had its on separate, notched out place for that rubber and it never comes out of its slot to scratch or damage the wood around it! So neat! When you are building it? When you get ready to put those rubbers in the slot? You have to get one in the top side notch %26 one on the bottom side notch? Before you tighten the frame up with your screws. Do this first. If you tighten the frame first, you won't be able to set the rubber into the notches as it would be to tight. It sounds complicated? But it is not at all. Our Son came with his wife and the twins %26 one other child. We have 3 sitting rooms? We had not used our den in years? We cluttered it. We then needed the den for them and we shampooed, got a new t.v.? But had to sleep part of them on the floor? So? Then we got it all pretty and wanted also to use it again as a part time winter room. But? We didn't have any furniture but one rocker. So this futon can now serve a duel function. We don't use our den all the time? So we didn't want a complete furniture set. I highly recommend this futon over metal or cheap ones! Wood holds up longer than the metal ones. This is of one of the highest quality I have ever seen! We wanted it to look like a den so we loved the mattress bears, ducks, trees, etc. This is worth every single penny! Highest quality wood %26 mattress! We highly recommend it! It had drawers also? I'm my photo, we were still building the drawers which are on rollers.

Wanted a futon for ny spare bedroom/office and this is just what I was looking for. Arrived in three boxes and the mattress tightly rolled and packaged. It is heavy to carry but well packaged. Due to my husbands health issues we paid. for Walmart/Angi to send someone to put it together. However you will want a second person to help put the final bed together. There were a few slight scratches or marks but nothing too noticeable. This is nice heavy wood and the mattress is actually pretty comfortable. The futon isnot difficult to switch from couch to ved but you do need to move it away from the wall. Love the two storage drawers. Extra storage is always good. Very happy with this purchase.

I really like this futon but it is a hassle to open and close

Overall a nice futon sofa bed. Fit and finish is above average for a "boxed" furniture item. They also provided extra hardware which was fortunate as the box was one special screw short for assembly. Written Instructions are mediocre and the company website (www.Kodiakfurniture.com) claims there is a video for assembly. There aare NO videos on the Kodiak website. I did find a video with a YouTube search and it was very helpful. My biggest complaint is poor delivery service. Delivery was THREE DAYS LATE. If you need a WALMART item delivered when they say it will be delivered, look elsewhere for you purchase.
