Padding wasn't included in the box. However, I purchased pool noodles based on reviews. It feels solid and the stabilizer seems to eliminate issues mentioned in previous reviews. It works well on the interstate up to 70mph on a windy day. Easily connects to class III hitch.

We were worried that this was wobbly and would not hold up for a long ride. We connected it to our RV, loaded it with two kayaks and drove from Maryland to Key West Florida. Everything went well and no issues what so ever.

This product is a great value for the money, however it does move a lot during travel. With our two kayaks, we have found that this doesn't necessarily make us feel like it won't hold, but it is a little disconcerting to see when you first start using it! We also covered ours with extra padding to help protect our kayaks from scratches/damage during travel.

Rack is more solid than expected for the price. I put it on the back of my Tacoma with two 10' kayaks and they moved ever so slightly back and forth while I was on the freeway going 70. I will say, get new pads, the pads given are really bad. I used the rectangle kayak pads made for cars and wrapped them in the black mat that comes around the hitch in the shipping box and used straps/thick zip ties. Make sure the tips of the kayaks don't go lower than the hitch coming out from the truck… scrrrrrrratch

A little flimsy/wobbly but does the job. Need to upgrade the blue padding with some pool noodles, which should bring the nose of my kayak up another inch or two from the ground. I've scraped a few times going up driveways. Not a ton of room for adjustments, but it's working wonderfully actually, sits so that there isn't a ton of wind resistance from up top. Went together easily, but not much adjustment room at the bottom, which is why I suggest pool noodles if you need to raise your boat up another inch or two. Solid purchase for the price. I got a locking hitch and 2x 6' bike locks to secure my yak. Ain't nobody walking off with my boat after all of this!

Would have given 5 stars, but the joint between the two vertical pieces, while securely bolted together, was extremely sloppy. Because of that movement, the kayak was able to make contact with my backup camera which did minor damage to the camera. I am going to have to weld the joint to eliminate the movement. Otherwise, seems well built, with good materials. Definitely worth the money we spent on it!

I haven't actually gotten it onto my vehicle yet, but it appears that product is wonderful, but the instructions seriously suck - dirty canal water!

This looks like a great idea and I was excited to use it, but it's missing 3 parts rendering it useless. It's missing both P5 parts and P6. I'm so sad. I was going kayaking tomorrow, but I guess I'll just float along on my lonely inner tube instead.

Way to flimsy for anything other than a light weight paddle board
