We bought this for a coworker. He had had surgery on his back and lives alone. He absolutely loves it. I knew about these from physical therapy through the VA hospital. My VA cane is a bit sturdier and a tiny bit heavier. But this one will do the job just fine if you can't afford a more expensive one.

This just isn't strong enough for the intended purpose. It feels like it's closer to snapping every time you use it. I have another one from another seller that much stronger.
