I have had one retina surgery on my eye - and having another one soon. It is vital to sleep with my face in a downward position. This pillow makes that possible - and I am very comfortable. I did put a small fan in front of me to help circulate cool air.

a very good pillow has a nice feel to it and i am well pkeased with it, it could use an additional item to the purchase an air pump for breathing when used on a bed for the person with there face down an air pump works nicely

I purchased this for recovery time after retina surgery. After a couple of days in face down position as required, this pillow began to lose some firmness and the zipper pull in the open area where you place your face became very uncomfortable . I tried covering that area but then the opening is smaller and makes breathing a bit more difficult. I'm recommending this product if your use is a fairly short term use.

Really good pillow for after retina surgery. Had a gas bubble in eye and supposed to lay face down. Thks pillow would be great. Tried it once but laying face down too painful for my back. Dr said to sleep on side which I did. Used pillow propped against table several times as eye got better and it was helpful. It's so snuggly on one side and cool on the other I hope to figure out how else it can be used when I'm back to normal!

Purchased to allow me to sleep face down after retina surgery. The wedge shape caused pain in my lumbar spine and therefore could not use to sleep on.

It is a great idea, however, the face area is too small and makes it difficult to breathe. It would be better if there was a bigger/better face area to breathe easier. Good for sleeping upright when you have an upset stomach, but not for sleeping on your stomach.

Regrettably, the pillow set compresses totally when I lay my face down on it. I am not a terribly heavy person (199 male) but the compression results in my nose actually TOUCHING the floor / foundation. Resulting in limited air flow for breathing. I will not recommend this to friends or family. Sadly.

The product came damaged and it doesn't give you the support you need..The picture is kinda deceiving..I returned it..Not worth the money.
