Love the style size and shape and added the multicolor gravel. The various multi colored led lights are an awesome addition for the reasonable price of the Aquarium.

I am allowed to have an aquarium at my college and decided to go with this aquarium kit for my dorm room. Below is my overall experience with my aquarium. 1. Kit was simple to set up. Directions easy to follow and use. 2. Aquarium came with everything I needed except for gravel. I added two 5lb bags of natural gravel. 3. The filter does a great job in keeping the water clean. The instructions say to replace the filter cartridge every 3 to 4 weeks for optimal use. 4. The filter takes Tetra Whisper size small. My mother picked some up for me at the same store she purchased the aquarium. 5. I love the multiple LED colors. I will choose one color for the whole day when I wake up. 6. The lid has an opening for feeding that is neat. I don't have to open the whole lid up to feed. I am able to add a couple food pellets and make it to class on time. 7. I also picked up a gravel vacuum so I can quickly clean my aquarium. Once a month I usually siphon out a 1/4 gallon of water from the gravel and replace with new water. I have a couple house plants in my room and use this water to water my plants. The plants are doing really well with this arrangement. 8. Now for the best part, I have Tony the betta, Jasmine the dwarf gourami, Timmy the pleco, and Susie the blue platy. Of course I had to name my pets. Every time I come back to my room they are waiting for me. I really enjoy the interaction with them. Makes staying in my room and studying a whole lot easier.

My betta is very happy in this tank. The filter is quiet and it is not strong to the point of bothering him.

Setup was quick and easy. It had everything, except the gravel. Our Betta is very happy.

Many, many years ago I had very large aquariums but as life got busy I downsized to smaller ones. This one is perfect for the living room. It has everything except fish and décor. I really like the lighting and the very silent pump and filter. It's great, I'm getting one for the bedroom next.

I bought this small tank to quarantine new fish before adding to my main tank. The size is perfect for a few small fish in quarantine, but large enough to handle current from UV sterilizer and to maintain temperatures in a safe range. I plan to buy another as a backup tank or as a hospital tank.

the tank was bigger than I expected. plenty of room for multiple fish and decorations. the led color changing is awesome.

Great size. Fits nicely on desk. BUT, the light after 2 weeks is going out. Tank has fish, decorations....what a mess.

The filter motor started to make a loud noise, I attempted to fix it, clean it ect. and to no avail it will not work. Multiple attempts after searching the internet and walmart.com I cannot find the company Hawkeye ANYWHERE. Thankfully, walmart sent me a replacement tank and filter. Also, I was given 4 different phone numbers to Hawkeye- one of which was a “Mature” Talk- Line for Adult Needs. Bottom Line- I have no idea who Hawkeye is ! Would not buy any Hawkeye products again.
