[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my Konnected Big Joe for closing in on two months now. I had been wanting to give my pellet grill to my nephew and upgrade to something I could sear, smoke, and grill on. This thing cooks like a dream. I have done at least 2 dozen cooks on this thing. Rotisserie chicken, wings, ribs, an awesome brisket, teriyaki chicken, steak…and I even baked a loaf of dutch oven bread on it. This is going to be amazing to essentially use this as a second oven when I host family on the holidays. The automatic fire starter and fan combo makes it so easy for me to just decide to grill on a whim. It is started and up to basic temps in about 15 minutes. I don’t have to baby it at all, so I can go prep ingredients while it brings itself to temp. I am really happy with this kamado. I had never cooked on one before I got this, and was a major upgrade for me from a pellet grill.

I bought this 2 years ago and I use it quite often and it still looks new. It is will used for all sorts of meals.

Fill her up, push the button and go. It's so easy. Than set your desires temperature and it will do the rest. Low & slow or hot & fast, it becomes so easy with the (Big) Connected.

I received the Big Konnected Joe in exchange for an honest review—and as a longtime Kamado Joe fan (my Classic II is still going strong after nearly 10 years!), I’m thrilled with this upgrade. What sets the Big Konnected Joe apart is how it makes weekday grilling effortless. No more lighting a fire manually—just dump in the charcoal, set your temperature, and let the built-in igniter and fan take over. The push-button start, Wi-Fi connectivity, and app-controlled temperature make it incredibly convenient, with no need for external wires or gadgets. Even better, you can still use it manually if you prefer, but I love taking full advantage of the smart features. They’ve made it easier for me to grill more often and enjoy more meals cooked over real fire—without the hassle. I really appreciate the extra cooking space on this grill, and I love that I can use a half-moon grate with just half a fire basket of charcoal for smaller meals—perfect for quick cooks without wasting fuel. If you love the flavor of charcoal but want the ease of modern tech, the Big Konnected Joe is a fantastic choice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i am a fan of the Kamado Joe line of products. well made and built to last including this most recent addition to my "collection" of joes for grilling. you can never have too many grills and especially Kamado Joe grills. I AM A FAn of tehse grills.

Seemed fine out the box. Some minor alignment issues but nothing major. We have grilled on this unit 5 times in 18 days. The ceramic outside has fractured on the back hinge area. It struggles to maintain high heat without manual intervention, the fan and minor top vent adjustments simply won’t do it all. I’ve only been able to maintain 615 F for 20 minutes at most. I’ve been able to stabilize at 450 F but it struggles to hold above 500 F I’m not sure why. The hottest it got was 640 F aim was 615 F temperature with the fan and restarting the system and letting it recalibrate and stabilize at 615 F. That allowed me to grill at 550-600 for 8 hours. Looking forward to the winter months, but this cracking ceramic has me concerned. I do most of my grilling in the winter.

I bought this grill and one of the grill grates arrived damaged. I filed a support case (#964354) and replacing the part has been rejected because they have deemed it "cosmetic" and can still be used. This is a very expensive brand new grill that arrived with a damaged part. If they will not honor their warranty on an inexpensive part like this, will they for a far more expensive and complicated part to replace? Do NOT buy this product as the company will not honor its warranty. --------(updated below) A few days after I had written the above and send it further complaint to their warranty department, they decided to fulfil their warranty and replace the part that arrived damaged. So I upgraded the overall rating from 1 star to 3 stars (If they honored their warranty originally, they would have got 5 stars and a glowing review). On the actual use of the Kamado, it has cooked great and I am very happy with how it cooks. My biggest criticism on using it is the app for my phone for the Konnected features. It sometimes stops updating if I have had my phone closed for a few minutes, so the readout it says may not be correct. However the notifications still arrive as if it has been reading the sensor the whole time. I also wish the app had features you could use when operating the grill manually, such as letting you know when the grill has come up to the desired temp. Or when it has cooled down to 400 deg (which is when the manual says to fully close the top vent).
