This camera does not require any subscriptions. You only need a SD card. It is 4k. Easy to install and setup. Mics work both ways. Had to trun the sound down because it was picking up the birds loud and clear. Takes panoramic photos. You can click on the screen and a magnifying bubble pops up and you can scroll around with a closer view. It is very nice.
I bought the Koohome 4K Outdoor Security Camera (Solar/Battery, 360° Pan Tilt, Auto-Tracking) specifically for my carport and driveway, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. Installation was genuinely wire-free and took less than 20 minutes. I mounted the camera under the carport eave using the included bracket, paired it with the solar panel (though it also runs great on the built-in battery alone), and connected it to my dual-band Wi-Fi in seconds. No drilling into siding or running cables across the yard — exactly what I wanted. The 360° pan and tilt combined with the auto-tracking feature is the star of the show. When someone walks up the driveway or a car pulls in, the camera smoothly follows them automatically and sends a clear notification with a short video clip. The 4K resolution is noticeably sharper than my old cameras — I can actually read license plates and see faces clearly from across the yard, even at night thanks to the excellent color night vision. I love that there's no monthly subscription required. The AI event search in the app makes reviewing footage fast and painless — I can search by “person,” “vehicle,” or specific time instead of scrubbing through hours of video. The solar panel keeps the battery consistently charged (even during a couple of cloudy weeks it stayed above 80%), so I haven't had to touch it since installation. Build quality feels solid and truly weatherproof. It's handled rain, wind, and Texas heat without any issues. The two-way audio works great for talking to delivery drivers or scaring off unwanted visitors. Overall, this camera gives me real peace of mind without any ongoing costs or complicated setup. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality 4K solar PTZ camera that actually works as advertised and doesn't nickel-and-dime you with subscriptions, this Koohome is an outstanding choice. I'm already planning to get another one for the back of the property. 5 stars all the way!
Really nice camera. Great night vision and super easy to set up. Download the app, pair it with your WiFi and bam, done. Simply install it where you'd like. We added ours to the front of our garage and it's perfect. It's a bit loud when you set it up but it's definitely nice to have a little extra security on your house without hardwiring for more cameras. It did lag a bit but I think it was due to my internet.
very very easy to install the only flaw is you cannot flip the camera when you're on the screen other cameras I've know that you're able to flip the camera this one can you cannot but that's not a major issue other than that that it's a great great camera definitely recommend it to anyone for sure!! zoom in and zoom out is awesome
This camera was very easy to install and set up. I love that I can monitor my home right from my phone, no matter where I am. The picture quality is clear, and the motion detection works well. The night vision is a great feature, and when motion is detected at night, the light automatically turns on, making it easier to see what's happening outside. The solar panel is also a nice bonus because I don't have to worry about constantly charging the camera. Overall, this has been a great addition to my home security system. I like it so much that I would purchase another one for the other side of my house. Highly recommended!
I love this camera! I was able to get connected to it with my phone very easily. Simply scan the qr code and add it to your phone, it's one of the easier apps i've used for adding devices. The camera is lightweight, small - which helps with being discrete and works perfectly. I had no problem using the intercom mode which is extremely handy. It picks up the sound of it rotating louder than it sounds in the camera which is nice, it does make some sound though. Overall great for someone looking for a cheap solution to get some outdoor security that you can connect to with your phone through your network
Better than l expected! It's clear to see images. Very simple installation and understand directions. Would definitely buy again. Feeling much safer in my home now!
Incentive product. This is a good outdoor security camera in the price range that is being offered for the 4K picture quality. Easy to install. Love that it comes with solar panel. If you go with something like Arlo etc - it will definitely cost you a lot. Eufy is near to it. Only drawback - it doesn't come with any sort of MicroSD card and a good microSD card for this might cost as much the cost of the camera. Picture quality is good, wifi signals were also good. Nigh vision - liked it. Voice prompts and QR codes are good to use. App is some what not that easy. I love the fact that it can track objects in motion. I love the fact that you can adjust the sensitivity of the object tracking. But make sure that you have good internet connection with stable strength in terms of where you are going to install it. I find it bit difficult in terms of downloading the footage from the camera- I think I need to give it more time to learn how to use it. Night mode is good. Notifications - please setup carefully as there could be just too many if you don't setup carefully.. Mounting hardware is good. Overall field of view is good - almost 360 degree.
This camera was easy to install. You download the app, and it walks you through the installation process. You can them use the app to dial in the features you want, such as auto tracking and alerts. You can toggle specific detection rules on or off, which allows you to set the camera to only alert for humans and animals, but not branches blowing in the wind and such. You can also set custom detection zones, so that the camera will ignore things like people walking by on the sidewalk, or cars driving by. I've found the image quality to be good. Things can be a bit blurry under some conditions, especially when zooming in. The camera is entirely controlled from within the app. There is a 360 degree view so wherever you mount it, you will be able to make the camera rotate in the app to check out your suroundings. It also has audio, including a microphone so you can holler at people and animals within range, whenever you feel like it. There is an option to turn off the audio, so if you are not a fan of having your conversations recorded whilst sitting near your camera, you will want to toggle that off in settings. There are two separate areas for that - one is for the cameras operation and the other in the under the section where it records and saves video. If you want to share access to the camera with friends and family, they will have to download the app and create their own account before the app will allow you to share with them. You can take screenshots through the app, which actually come out pretty nice. I tried to uploada few for this review but the files were too large for Walmart's liking. I had to use some screenshots taken through my phone instead, which are a bit lower in quality. But it gives you a basic idea of what things look like in the app at night and during the day. We've had the camera for a few weeks now and it has been working just fine. It's a nice, budget friendly option. It does lack the clarity of a higher end camera but at the same time, it gives peace of mind. Knowing that I can check out my property any time I want to is fantastic and the solar battery is wonderful at keeping the camera going. It has built in feature that will turn off tracking when the battery gets low and return the camera to it's "home" position. So if you plan to have tracking on constantly, just remember to set your primary target zone. That way the camera will be back where you need it to be if it has to be still for a while as it builds up a charge.
I'm giving this review only four stars because I'm having some concerns. so let me first address the outstanding good things. picture quality is outstanding. it has beautiful picture quality. and it has a good zoom effect. the night vision is outstanding. and it actually casts good light off of the lamp that comes on during alert. I love the fact that you can rotate it 360°. I love the fact that it can track objects in motion. I love the fact that you can adjust the sensitivity of the object tracking. you can have it not track cars but track people. it has a beta program available to track faces. yeah what I don't like is that the network connections are quite slow and don't stay connected very well. so it was always glitching when down to two or three bars of bandwidth. I'm going to have to get a signal booster/extender. also there's, essentially, no library. there's an events log. and you can download and save from there both clips and stills. but when I zoomed with the camera to a particular frame live, and clicked to take a picture, where is it saved? there's no library for me to go find it. they didn't advertise at sale that it needed a memory card. so now I have to order a memory card. a lot of the settings are hard to get set because of the lag in the network. the network really needs a lot of support. and it does not support its own Bluetooth or Wi-Fi internal Network.
