Great for the cost
It does make shaved ice, with great consistency. But you have to use the provided disc to make an ice circle. I think that's why so many reviews are opposed. Ice cubes yield more of a snow cone texture and using the disc allows the shaver to grind more effectively.

So yummy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kool-Aid Snow Cone Maker is so much fun! It makes me think of the snow cone maker from when I was a child that had to be cranked. This is all electric, and easy to use. The flavors are yummy and my kids love it. I'm sure we'll be making tons of snow cones in the summer!

Fun Cool Snow Cone Treat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This snow cone maker is the perfect activity. It's easy to use and only requires ice cubes and the snow cone flavoring syrup. It's convenient and easy to store, making cleanup simple. There's a bit of a learning curve and the motor is loud but it's a great and delicious option for any party or fun summer day.

Fun machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cute machine. It would be great for kids in the summer! It's very easy to use. I think it's pretty safe. There is a power on/off button on the top but then also has a safety feature button that has to be pressed when the machine fits altogether for it to power on. Everything comes apart easily and is easy to clean. It's not very loud. It also has suction cups at the bottom so it doesn't move when it's on.
