Simple steps to fun. When you get it, add water to the plastic ICE-DISC (included), and freeze it (takes about 6 - 7 hours in a standard refrigerator freezer. When done, but ice disc in the snow cone maker, add snowcone cup to catch ice, put top on (plug in), push start button, and a few seconds late you have a snow cone. It is super fast and easy. a single ice disc makes about FOUR snowcones. We make a couple backup ice discs and keep them in plastic ziploc bags in freeser so we will always have what we need. Kids love it. The KoolAid syrups also taste GREAT

This is a very fun and goid snow cone maker. when you use the "ice cake" mold for shaving the ice it is even better. my grandchildren love it. I bought the 3 flavored syrups that are of the same company and they were also a big hit.

My 13 year old daughter absolutely loves it and has ysed it iver and over since we got it. It's simple enough for her to use it on her own, which means I'm not constantly being recruited as the official snow cone operator. The shaved ice comes out really fluffy and the included syrups taste really good. The machine is a little noisy while its shaving ice but its not a deal breaker. It's working hard turning ice into snowy goodness, so we can forgive a little extra enthusiasm. If you have kids that love frozen treats, this is an easy way to bring a little extra summer excitement into your kitchen.

It's very easy to use and clean up after as well. It's not too loud either as e were able to use it while out baby was sleeping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly my kids (ages 12 and 5) were so excited to try this but it really didn't live up to the hype. The packaging is eye catching and it sounds promising but the novelty is short lived. We have a shaved ice making kit that is basically the same concept but dumps the ice into a container so you can make your own snow cone where as this setup you place the paper cup underneath in the holder and you get what you get. We ended up with ice clumps everywhere and a mess but the kids still thought it was cool. The flavors it came with were good but I'm pretty sure it was just Kool-Aid with some preservatives added to allow it to be bottled. The machine itself plugs into the wall with a very short plug and it's grinding ice down so naturally it's loud. Cleaning up afterwards isn't horrible since it's just water from melted ice but it's everywhere. As for storage it fits back into its box where it will probably stay until the kids are super bored one day lol. The top lifts up, you place solid ice in the container then there's a sharp blade when you put the top on that does the shaving, I did like that the blade won't engage unless the top is seated correctly and down enough which prevents little fingers from being cut. Overall the concept is there but it could use some work. It was cool to try out but it's just like many other kits. Improvements I would suggest having a way to form a better snow cone instead of dumping ice shavings and whatever lands in the cup does and what doesn't just ends up wherever. Thanks!

I brought it over to my sister‘s house so the whole crew could test it out and it was a huge hit. Everyone had fun picking their flavors and making their own snowcones. This was our very first snow cone day, but it definitely won't be our last. Summer fun has officially begun!

Comes with an ice mold to fit the insert perfect or you can use regular ice. I found the ice from the mold works better than ice cubes. It shaves the ice perfect, has the cutest little cone holders and the perfect spoon straw combos to eat with. The flavors are grape, blue raspberry and tropical punch. The punch tastes like the standard kool aid. My kids absolutely loved this treat! I also love that you can use it for other things. The info packet says you can freeze yogurt, or use the ice for margaritas or any slushy. I think this is going to get a ton of use over the summer at my house!

I will say that the ice was thicker than what I prefer so i rated it a 4 out of a 5, but on a hot Summer day the kids will have a blast. The flavored syrup was flavorful! The snow cone machine itself was easy to use and accessible! It was easy to clean, you just have to make sure the inside is dry before storing. The blades are in the ice containment, so be careful not to slide your fingers across it while drying it! The price point is very fair as well.
