Koolatron 12 Bottle Wine Cooler, Black, 1 cu. ft. (28L) Freestanding Thermoelectric Wine Fridge

This is a perfect reasonably priced chill box for my two-person household that drinks maybe two bottles a week. It replaced an identical unit that lasted more than ten years. The box holds 12 bottles of red wine at the perfect 60 degree temperature. The only shortcoming was that the tiny adjustment knob could be rotated from "Low" to "High" without any indication of what temperature those end-points relate to, or any other setting in-between. I bought a little thermometer which told me the high setting was 60 degrees. That was fine for us, but someone wanting a cooler temperature for white wine would need to find it by trial and error. This almost trivial inconvenience is greatly outweighed by the value of the unit. It is a great buy.

Easy to set up. Using for wine and bottled flavored water. So far so good. Perfect size.

I purchased the unit to install it in the cabinets during a remodel ( made sure I had the 5 inches clearance in the rear). When installing in an enclosed cabinet you need to make sure that you have good ventalation. The cabinet was fully enclosed (certianly not air tight) so I needed to install a vent opening because the unit would only cool to 60 degress and the cabinet was getting pretty warm. Once the vent was installed the unit functions perfectly, very quiet and looks great

I bought this strictly for its size as the spot I wanted to put it was small-It turned out to be a good cooler and is very quiet.

It's fine, but I can't set the exact temperature. It just has a warmer /colder dial.

I found two significant problems with the product. First, the dimensions of the cooler are not as advertised. This was a problem for me because, as I waited for delivery, I built a cabinet and wanted a certain combined height for cabinet and cooler. Second, the cooler did not sit solidly on a level surface. The right rear leg was not assembled properly and I had to accommodate this. Once these issues were resolved, the unit seems to perform as advertised. I have a larger unit downstairs and use this to stage bottles we'll be drinking in the near term.

very unhappy the way this box was tossed on my porch. he literally just tossed it. and I watched him do it from inside the house. the delivery date was changed twice. the box is all beat up I am including pictures. I'm hoping this thing works. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift.
