We bought this to replace the exact same model and it is working as perfectly as we expected. The original worked every day for 5 years and is still working but is in the shop to keep the beer cool now! this new one we use in the house for extra fresh produce and when we travel for snacks and shopping along the way.
Keeps things pretty cool, though i wouldn't trust milk in it. I love the option of using it to keep things warm should i need to bring precooked food somewhere. My goal was to use it as a mini fridge so i had to buy an adapter for the car plug it came with, but it so far, after a month of use, does the job. Like others mentionned: how cool it get depends on how warm it is outside of it, so plan around that before putting in stuff that goes bad quickly, but it keeps my hummus, fruits, and iced tea cool enough.
we really enjoy our Koolatron cooler. It has been put to use daily along with our smaller Motor home fridge. We make less grocery trips, which saves us valuable time. The cooler has helped us through Mid30 temps. Haven't esed it to keep any foods warm, but can imagine that the cooler will function equally as well for keeping dinners warm.
Worked perfect out of the box. using it it transport food after shopping. living remotely we have a 60 to 90 mile trip to the store. great to put the frozen/cold items in. Peltier cooler has large finned heat sink for heat transfer in the cooling mode, puts out heat well. Power cord and plug show no signs of getting hot running for 4 hours. Like the manual states, it needs ventilation so you down overheat it. I'm using it in the covered bed of my truck, so I'll have to monitor it on hot days.
My husband had me order this cooler for our vacation. Never owned one before so we were a little skeptical. Back from vacation and he very pleased and glad we made the purchase. Thumbs up!
We have only used it once but it worked well. We also put a few freezer packs inside with the food just in case. Our food was frozen to begin with. We drove 2.5 to 3 hours and food was still frozen when we arrived.
Great little machine, not quite as cold as I thought it would be but again it is not a refrigerator; the heat side will blow you out of there. Plugged it in incorrectly and just about cooked the meat in the bottom of the cooler as I thought it was on cool and it was heat. We were really happy with it worked perfect in our Pete, and fits in the closet area perfectly.
It's pretty good. Kept frozen things frozen for a couple days when they were close to the fan. Didn't freeze anything it shouldn't. Other part of it were cool enough for a couple days of traveling.
If I had put an ice block in the cooler, my drinks would have been colder. Absolutely not impressed. So I thought I would just leave it plugged in for a few hours to see if things did get colder, but all it did was drain my battery. Lose-lose..... RETURNED IT!!!!! Back to the cooler bag and ice packs
Does not cool down to refrigeration level. Return time expired, stuck with another piece of junk from wal-mart. I am so done with their online garbage. Last $130.00 they get from me.
