Koolatron 12V Electric Cooler/Warmer 49L (52 qt), Two-Way Design, Gray

Had one for 3 or 4 years and it finally quit working. Got a new one and it works better than the old one. I used it in my semi. It runs for months at a time. The Coleman coolers I had to get one every year.

Works well to keep everything cold and holds a lot.

The price vs size can't be beat. Used for a long weekend as 2nd fridge

Handle is sharp when carrying with weight in the cooler. Padding or better handles would be great

The cooler is probably designed for a long driving trip. For us, driving quite short and leaving the car for 1-2 hours, it didn't work. We needed to buy 2 additional cryopak ice packs to keep the food at least cool (not cold).

I bought it about a month ago and it is working very well and I can place in a lot of stock. Only downer, the cheap feeling closure and on the side where the motor and fan are, you can push in the frame very easily and it seems to be very fragile. There is no actual light when you plugin into the cigarette lighter of the car to let you know it is working.

It doesn't cool things as much. The heating works better than the cooling.

I bought this product for our camping trips to replace the Coleman Powerchill (which was no longer available). The cooler is very large, but does not cool enough. We had it plugged non-stop for 2 weeks and from the start, the drinks were never really cold enough and sometimes barely and we never filled it completely, yet the ice was forming on the inside around the vent. I tried with the 12V directly and with the AC adapter, but it made no difference. I strongly prefer the Coleman Powerchill 40qt (less $) which served us 4 years.

It arrived like it had been just thrown in a box. The fan did not work. This is the second one we ordered (and returned). I tried calling the manufacturer, put on hold for 30 minutes, then go disconnected. 2 bad ones in a row! How does this company stay in business? Zero stars.
