KoolScapes Two-Wheeled Tumbling Composter 50 Gallon / 190L

Bought it about a month ago and have compost already.I am planning on getting a second one. Nice looking unit as well. It would be nice to have a crank handle for tumbling. It gets pretty heavy.

I put this together myself. Took about an hour. Easy instructions. I used a clamp when screwing them together. The wheels access is really nice. It's also a good height. Very sturdy and Easy to move around. We live on an acre here in Texas and wanted to pay extra for the wheels. Also don't forget to buy compost starter. I had the double compost Barrel but it was a pain to move the compost in a wheel barrel then move again.

Great design and quality construction. Very pleased with the device. However the one that was sent to me was not a 50 gallon, it appears to be a 30 gallon. I would consider purchasing a second one so I can increase my composting.

Exactly what I wanted and does what it supposed to.

Many of the customers suggested that the lid is hard to open. I experimented with it and found that if you do NOT turn the lid a complete 180 it is easier to open. Just line up the arrows and turn to the right just enough to keep the lid on. For me the product came package securely and there was no warping or damage. The instructions were easy to follow and the parts were laid out efficiently. I am not that handy with tools but this only took a couple of hours to assembly. Now I just have to find out how it compost.

We bought this tumbler to support a small garden. So far it seems durable, And very convenient to be able to transport. Just a tip, when assembling the drum, you may want an awl, or screw driver to line up the holes, with a c-clamp or set of vise grips to hold it in place. The halves are pretty warped up before assembly, but nothing that would discourage me from recommending it.

Still working on my first batch of compost and all is going well. Having some trouble every time I try to close it but I'm still not sure if it's me or the lid itself. Can't quite determine yet. The barrel itself is easy to use and makes things really convenient.

I really like this composter with the exception of the lid we can't seem to get it to lock in place. Which means you can't turn the barrel. We haved gotten to lock on a few times but can't seem to do it consistently. If any one has any suggestions please let me know. I think I would really like this if the lid wasn't so hard. I have looked for directions on how to get the lid on but can't find any. We have had several people try as at first I thought it was just me.

Tumbler arrived cracked (see pic) so I will have to repair the plastic resin so the compost “tea” doesn't leak. P art A slightly bent during shipping, so in step 5 (inserting handle), had to adjust the bent metal receptacle that was no longer round with vise grips (see witness marks in pic). Critical typo in instructions step 7 (see pic); “small” should be “large”.

We are very disappointed with this composer. The lid is very hard to screw on, and there is no handle of any sort to help you rotate the barrel. I am not a weak person, but it's nearly impossible for me to rotate it. So all I can do is rock it back and forth. Not what I expected
