No instructions whatsoever, so I had to watch videos on Youtube to be able to use it. It works great if the cable is one of the standard sizes. My TV antenna cable is a smaller size than RG59, so it would not get crimped. I found I had to slit the outer jacket 1/4 inch, and then it worked. The tool pushes the internal metal sleeve between the inner insulator and the shield.

The only thing I would suggest is that simple instructions to be included with the tool - to explain what functions where on the cutting tool (thank goodness for YouTube) but once I saw what to do, I was able to repair my coax cable without any problems. The price was great - even cheaper than Amazon for the same product.

I used to work in telecommunications, I bought this set to help my father-in-law repair a cable line in his house. The compression tool works wonderfully, the connectors took a little to get used to as they weren't the same brand I was used to working with, but the villain in this story is the prep tool. It falls apart easily, as it seems to only be held together with a plastic peg.

Good quality stuff but but apparently they think you’re professional and know how to use it all and it depends on what kind,(rg6, rg11, or rg59) and brand of cable connector you use to know whether to leave the negative shieth in place or to curve it back over behind it guess I’ll have to go on YouTube and find out how to use it pretty poor… also if you have RG 11 cable none of those fittings that they include will work they’re all RG six

The tools were of no use to me. They came without instructions, and nothing looked remotely familiar. I had to find video instructions online to see how these tools and pieces functioned. When I tried to use the tools, It wouldn't function the way it was supposed to. I finally had to use a pocket knife to cut the coax wire I was working with. In doing so, I cut my thumb. The wire cutter wouldn't make a clean cut and got dull after about 4 tries. This tool isn't functional for its intended purposes.

Appeared to be fairly good quality tools and connectors. No instructions of any kind on how to use. Looked up online and found it did not work at all with my RG59 cable. A little too big. Will probably work with RG6, not sure.

Connectors won't work on quad shield cable. Might work on cheep cable. I won't use cheep cable so I will never know.
