This is so hard to find. So thankful Walmart has an option to purchase this via shipping. I grew up in the 70s and 80s eating this atop fresh cucumbers. Its absolutely delicious. Odd thing is I dont eat any salad dressing on my lettuce, but will eat it just fine on cucumbers. For a long time, I couldnt find it anywhere but now I have found it. I dare you to try it!
I am so glad that someone still makes this dressing. It is getting hard to find on store shelves these days. I don't know quite how to describe the flavor except as "green." It's similar to Ranch in creamy texture and flavor, but with a bit of bite to it that comes from the chives I think. I concur with another reviewer, this is absolutely delicious on iceberg lettuce, like it was made for it specifically. I like to throw together some chopped iceberg, bell peppers and Vidalia onion, and maybe a hard boiled egg if I'm in the mood, with a modest portion of Green Goddess. Inexpensive perfection! It's also good for dipping cucumbers and broccoli.
wish i could purchase in the store. $11.00 for a bottle is ridiculous
If you haven't tried Green Goddess before....DO IT!!! Its actually been around for years, but I believe it fell out of popularity when Ranch came out. Plus I could never find it anywhere. It is great on everything!!! Seriously.
I've been looking for this product for literally years, it was my Mom's favorite, it is great on of course salad's, for dips, great base for a chicken coating before panko bread crumbs. It's as delicious now as it was 30years ago. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Great on my salad
This dressing is sooo good! We enjoy it on sliced tomatoes, too.
We love this dressing in our house. Used primarily for baked potato with lots of vegetables, ham, and Swiss cheese.
Tasted oily, not very good for salads or meats.
We just love this salad dressing. However, since the last time we bought it, it's not carried at this price. Now they want $9.00 per bottle which is a rip off we are finding this more and more often here at Walmart and Walmart.com. Will be taking our business elsewhere from now on.
