Right out of the box, the unit feels solid and well-built. The white finish gives it a clean, modern look—definitely a step up from older bulky models. Installation was surprisingly simple. The instructions were clear, and the mount system made it easy to secure under the sink. It fit perfectly with my existing plumbing and took under an hour from start to finish. What really stands out is how quiet and powerful it is. Even with tougher food scraps, it handles everything smoothly without rattling or excessive noise. I barely notice when it's running—huge win in a busy household. We've been using this disposal for about 5 months now and have had no issues. It's nice and quiet and does what it's supposed to do! Would recommend!

Easy installation and excellent build quality. Fairly quiet for a garbage disposal. Seamlessly integrates with our new granite composite sink. No negative comments after the first month of use.

The directions that come in the box are super easy to follow, making installation easy for anyone to do. The disposal itself works great, food gets broken up and the noise is less noisy than my older garage disposal.

We purchased this disposal for our new kraus sink when we remodeled our kitchen. We had heard such great review on Kraus as a company and their products overall so after having a different brand disposal which we had replaced 3 time over the last 8 year (ridiculous!). We decided to try a different brand. OpThe Kraus disposal is very good quality in construction and on the quieter side as disposals go. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is because we have only had it in place for a week and therefore I can not speak to the longevity of the product. This being said, I have very high hopes for this product. It functions well clearing out the food debris in our drain. Also, a good value for the price. Another bonus is it more skim design. It mounts nicely under the sink and frees up more space around the under cabinet.

Did not know there were 2 knock out holes so it backed up the dishwasher. Well reading directions works. it is a little noisy as well as the start up sound like a hard electric start. Overall satisfied with the device.

This model of Kraus disposal is quiet as advertised. It's quieter, if you insert the plug/cover into the drain, but that restricts water flow into the disposal. The disposal drain cover comes with a waste pusher, but it only has two flanges, and you have to push the waste down several times. If Kraus designed it as an X flange (4 axes) it would push waste down easier. We also noticed that this 1/2 HP unit has trouble grinding orange or lemon peels, even when cut up into smaller pieces. The unit leaves residue behind in the grinding chamber, and it takes a longish time to grind it down. Perhaps the 3/4 HP unit does better. In our old Insinkerator, grinding citrus peels was not a problem. Overall, it's quiet and easily grinds most waste (although there is always some ground residue left in the grinding chamber). It's the first time we tried a Kraus unit, and would rate it as okay - it gets the job done, but no better than okay. We recommend getting a 3/4 HP unit.
