Kreg PRS5000 Precision Router Lift, Power Tool Stand

Appear to be well made. But that's to be expected given how expensive the price is. I have not used it yet, as I am currently very busy with work. But I'm looking forward to the opportunity to put it to use in the future. I'm sure the router lift will perform as anticipated.

The lift fit in my Kreg Precision table as expected. I have a 3 1/2" Hercules router motor from Harbour Freight that I used. It fits extremely tight. Use very little silicone spray and it forced fit with the tightening spread open as wide as possible. The lift works great wish I had done this years ago.

This was the easiest install ever. Fits a large amount of routers. Pull old one out and drop this in. Done. It's quite heavy and made to last.

Exactly what was needed at a good fair price.

It's absolutely the best purchase

Opening the box the construction of the lift looked very heavy duty, stable and tight. I had it in the box in my shop for several weeks, until I had a chance to build a table for it. I bought the Rigid Router mentioned in the instruction manual. I set the clamp index to 6 as indicated for my router, but the router would not fit. I moved the index to 7 which looked like the next number up. I had to tighten clamp screw all the way to get barely tight fit. Clamp screw was supposed to be tightened by crank supplied, but it would not fit. I used an allen wrench. All set to go with lift upright and router in place. I can barely get crank in lock/unlock slot. It doesn't fit into lift slot at all, neither does any other tool I have. It almost looks like the hole is round instead of hex. Useless if I can't lower and raise router. I didn't want to go back and forth with manufacturer so I returned it to the store. I would have given this 1 star but I have other Kreg tools that are fine and maybe this was a one off.
