I live the way that this spray looks on glass. Definitely will purchase it again!!
Love it and was used for privacy on my front door
It's best to paint clear glass. Follow the instructions for shaking the can 1-2 minutes before spraying. Stay 8 or so inches away from what you're spraying. Do a light coat and let it dry!! You can always go back for touch up but follow those instructions again. The previous reviews sound as though it was user error. And giving a bad review because that particular can didn't spray doesn't seem fair. I've had amazing luck and love the product! I'm hoping for more color choices soon.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for a translucent spray paint that did not have shine or gloss finish. I used Krylon Sea Glass in Aqua and Sea Foam. Absolutely beautiful! The pictures do not do it any justice. I enjoy using the Krylon Sea Glass as it is easy to use, goes on evenly, dries evenly, and quickly, and you don't need to recoat. I have repurchased these and will continue to use Sea Glass in other colors in the future!
I am changing decor in the cottage to beach a theme and wanted something different for my 2 seat wicker table. I bought your sea glass Aqua spray paint for a vase I have lol but decided to try it on the wicker table and chairs..where it wasn't glass, the colour changed a bit but ohhhhh so beautiful! I found anchors on material I bought to match the colour of the table for the chairs ...it's awesome!!! Love it!! Plan to try different colours!
I haven't tried this paint yet, though it is on my Bucket List. One reviewer wrote that her son scratched most of the paint off, over a period of time. Is it ok to add a clear top coat? Or would it change the ocean-tumbled-glass effect?
I got this paint last year to paint a change jar. I wasn't sure about it at first, but I do like it a lot. I have the green and while it's not my favorite, it wasn't for me. The color and texture were exactly like sea glass and looked so nice. The paint dried quickly. I did two or three thin coats, just to make sure I got all of the nooks and crannies of my jar. After a year, especially with a 6 year old, the paint has scratched off (most of him was doing it on purpose), but it's held up. Where the metal lock went back on, it wasn't too surprising that it rubbed off quite a bit. Overall, I'd buy and use again and likely will for some bubble bath and bath salt jars for my bathroom.
Totes bought this to spray my windows for both lazy privacy and light diffusion. As I don't spray paint often, practice is in the future. Overall, I like it. It's also easy to remove with a scraper. I plan on getting more colours to do a kalidascope thing later.
I'm satisfied with the sea glass finish overall - I've done clear, blue, sea foam. Only two complaints/ observations. when first using the paint the colored paints come out in blobs the first few sprays - no matter how you shake or how far away you spray. I found it best to spray scrap cardboard first, till this problem clears. Sadly its a waste of product. after that I can get about 8 good mason jars worth of actual sea glass color and effect out of a can. That's all. after that the color seems to run out..... coming out far lighter than the first 8 - it takes MANY coats to get some color. I really like the effect I get on those 8 "good" jars I can get - but the first few sprays and the last half of the can are pretty much a throw away.
I was so excited to try out this sea glass finish......I've spay painted a fair amount so I wasn't expecting this product to be any different than other spray paints. I shook it for a full 2 minutes and then started to spray. It came out more as a splatter than an even spray and so my jars are not at all coated evenly. I tried applying more to the areas where it looked sparse and then it formed a blob. I have done 4 or 5 coats at this point and just walked away from my jars; they don't look good at all. Very disappointed
