Sounds great!

Amber April 5, 2024

It's good I just had to buy extra piece so the carb fixes on my bike! It says fits most bikes but not my 27.5 schwinns from Walmart. So you need get a piece that helps move the carb over. Also gotta bang the frame abitfor the rest to fit. So just picture mind that.

Need for speed, YES

Package arrived on time. I took all parts out And took a quick inventory of parts before the project began and thought to myself, glad Im mechanically inclined. Instructions also advise the installer that being mechanically inclined helps out. Instructions were easy to follow but confusing at the same time. I loved the part of instructions where it says if you feel real AMBITIOUS take apart throttle cable and lubricate, I felt ambitious the day of install. The bolts that hold sprocket on back are soft metal and easy to strip out if your not careful. I had to cut off bolt , get new one at store and try again . Instructions say make sure they are tight sound and true. Be careful not to over tighten tank nuts and wrap the bar with some sort of rubber wrap for less vibration to help out with nuts that hold it In place I double nut mine since I had extra screws. I put exhaust on the motor first before I installed it otherwise I would have not been able to tighten The Allen heads Because frame was in the way also I had to bend it a little to clear my peddle which instructions said to do. It wasn't easy to bend, maybe I was just being carful but make sure you take It off First and not bend it while on the motor you will possibly crack the aluminum block. Instructions for Installing cables Clutch and throttle were poor thats where your mechanical abilities come into play. Starting was a little hard at first but got better a free like the fourth start up, broke in feeling Over all I had the gas line break twice while testing it out. Gas tank nuts kept getting loose and I didn't want to crank down to avoid pulling nuts through the tank so I double nutted them and put lock tight on all bolts after final adjustments. Bought a better gas line for it one provided is very soft and not braided. Actually its quite dangerous because gas drips on spark plug and coil. Speed instructions safe you can only go 13 mph during break well when your on it you just have the erge to let er rip so after 15 min of testing out I gave her the gun and it actually went faster then I expected. Instructions say it will go faster after breaking it in. I need to get my front tire straightened out because it bounced at higher speeds. Very happy with the product and planning buying another if the one I built sells quick. Hobby I guess but it is fun to drive and wish I had one of these when I was a kid. Mixed 2 cycle oil in gas 16:1 on breakin as instructions said to do so it smokes a little. Instructions say after breaking it in to take exhaust off to clean out the build up from the extra oil in the gas but remember I was saying you cannot get the nut off. Probably due to the style of bicycle I used which was beach cruiser.

great purchase

Steve December 1, 2022

i found these to be great engine kits i have 2 of them one has 978 km on it the other around 65 km but i was looking for a better bike for the 2nd engine you choke it pedal a few times fires right up. i am disabled and don't drive but this little engine takes me where ever i gotta go. Very pleased with the performance of these engines how ever you do have to change some of the nuts with lock nuts or put lock tight on them because there is some vibration and the nuts do work lose unless you do 1 pf the above lock tight or lock nuts. All in all very pleased with my purchase. i wanna try the electric motor kit eventually for my daughters bike as well as my son in law the gas powered ones scare them a bit lol.

Doable

Ashley March 11, 2024

my only real complaint was the plastic broke in my throttle. Other than that my advice is to use a mens bicycle and make sure to measure. after alterations and some welding the kit works great. I rode my bike to town. It's not great on bumps, but that's about the bike, not the motor. The motor is wonderful. make sure you have a bike worthy, and you'll be all set.

Tank was bubble wrapped but had a dent. I got 2 carburetors and no cdi. Told customer I would have it done Aug 3rd so I had to get a cdi overnighted from Amazon for 15 dollars. Cheaper than a carburetor so I guess there's that. I wasn't going to even mention it or call about it but since my email had a "write a review for your purchase" here it is.

DO NOT purchase (- STAR) Wouldn't buy kit for $50

Elizabeth July 20, 2022

Be cautious when purchasing this kit. The first thing I saw upon opening the package was the gas cap was damaged (nearly had a hole through it). Packaging was terrible. Small parts strewn about throughout the box and other parts bouncing around inside damaging each other. Next, I discovered the clutch mechanism was not working and the the main sprocket (drive) would not move freely. Basically I received a damaged, seized up engine that would never start unless I rebuilt it and I definitely should not have to on a brand new engine kit.

Deceptive, misleading, false information

John November 4, 2022

Total junk. Fits almost no bikes by design. Out of five bikes 26 to 28 inch I settled on one and still had to modify the bike. The muffler will be in the way of the pedals on any bike. There is no way they can't know this. The pipe will have to be bent causing a crease and restricting air or cracks. Or it will have to be cut repositioned and put back together in some way (welding/clamps). Most frames will prevent the carburetor from being put on it won't fit. Unless you have an old bike from the 70's with a huge frame. The hardware that attaches the motor to the frame will be too close to the line of the chain it's made that way. Requires a torque wrench. All bolts will be different and varied torque values. They all need to be 12 ft lbs. It's just slapped together any random fashion it is not checked by manufacturer. You will need all the tools of a mechanic who does it for a living. Your going to need to cut and grind metal parts. Wrenches, hex keys, screw drivers, hack saw, file, torque wrench, etc. And even after you finally manage to get it to fit on the bike as I have. Then comes all the surprises of an engine that has zero quality control at the manufacturer. Gas pouring out all over. From the air box, From the tickle valve. Tons of adjustments. And even if you manage to get it going you still have to re-tighten everything periodically like those head bolts with that torque wrench you will need to buy. Don't disappoint your child believing this is something designed to fit a bike. Like you can attach it and go. You will have to manufacturer the entire thing yourself. The ad on Walmart and the description are misleading. They do not tell you upfront in the ad or description that it requires a shop full of tools and a mechanic. You get chunks of base metals that you will use to manufacturer a bike yourself. And even then it still may not work. You will think your getting a ready to use item. You will find out as time goes on that $114 will slowly add up to a larger amount of money after having to shop around for that one rare bike that the motor actually fits on. The all the tools you will need to purchase. Then all the back and forth with Walmart and the seller over this box of junk that doesn't work, trying to salvage some of the money you lost. You could buy a ready to ride item for the same price. A long distance electric scooter. A Jetson electric bike. A mini bike. For the same price with no manufacturing. You can buy a motor in America at a hardware or tractor supply, that has been tested is already manufactured, and had quality control. You buy it put gas in and start it no problem. Lawn mowers, string trimmers, chain saws. You buy these put gas in and start it. This is total junk. Deceptive, misleading, and does not function as advertised.

Extremely disappointed

Micheal April 30, 2021

When I got the box it looked like it it fell out of the plane in mid-air. And when I open the box it got no better. I opened the engine box and there was a massive crack down the side so big that you could stick your finger in it. To say that I was highly disappointed would be an understatement. After falling out of the plane they should have left it there and not sent anybody back to get it.
